I know this thread is for the DOHC ZC...but are there any additional considerations for a SOHC ZC?? I didnt see anything for that in the engine quicklinks. Basically im trying to swap something into my RT with the least amount of hassle/cost so I can get it running again (its my DD). Open to other suggestions as well.

another question..having a hard time finding a obd0 (sohc or dohc) ZC..if I get the obd1 would it be easy to convert it to obd0 using the parts already in my RT?? Again..trying to minimize costs/effort here.

I had a crx with a single jingle ZC. I was amazed how well it performed.

Found this thread again because I am finally going today to get a ZC for my RT!

I will reseal/rebuild the motor before it goes in the car. I was curious if there is any cam support for the ZC? While I am at it I am thinking of raising CR a bit, port work, and whatnots. 140-150hp would be nice!
  • HMotors seems to be out of stock of the SOHC and DOHC. Where are you guys getting your motors?

One popped up on my local facebook. I have waited a few years for one though. But I wasn't looking very hard for one either.

right on, after hours and hours of searching, ole reliable wagon forum has some of the info ive been after. thanks wagoneers! considering putting a dohc zc in place of my tired sohc zc with no oil rings left. so ive been trying to locate info on what all is needed. google sent me here a bunch of times, but finally got routed to this thread and now i know how to do the ps on a dohc zc swap into an rt!

however, i still need to source timing covers. whoever had this motor before me had it in something other than a 4th gen so they are all cut up. looks like all 3 timing covers have been discontinued along with the gaskets. anyone know where to locate some? if i cant find any, this project will have to be scrapped. cant be taking a chance with rocks and crap getting into that area.
