Passing BAR in california with B20B

Ok so i took my wagon to the BAR and they told me to fix a few things like the timing and the ignition idle bla bla bla... did all of that but ran into problems with these... The person that helped me put the motor in the car said that there would be no o2 sensor and that is why my check engine light is on. i looked all over and from what i can see there is no o2 sensor anywhere on the pipes from the heads to the muffler. If hes right and there isnt one is there a way i can maybe drill a hole and place one?
Second question is i have a aftermarket fan that i turn on with a switch in the cocpit... i didnt install it and have no idea where the factory fans wires conected. The guy at the BAR said that he will not pass it unless the fan is hooked up to the car and operates when the car gets to hot. How would i co about hooking it back up to the cars computer?
Any help would be much appreciated.

It should be located on the lower half of the OEM exhaust manifold just before it meets the car facing upwards. If OBD0 still you may require 2 single wire O2 sensors, I am not familiar with B20B's though
Your fan switch should be either on the thermostat housing if OBD1 motor or if OBD0 motor then it will be next to the Oil Filter on the back of the block, there will be a round resin filled thing with two posts sticking out of it.
or is it a combo of integra intake, ecu and such?
From my past experiences I could not get the b20 refed due to the civic being a hatch and the b20 "crv" being a suv. cali ref just said NO, I had to go back to b18. i have heard the refs vary on what they will approve and deny.
I will be watching your build- good luck with the BAR
I really like the b20- ran a b20z for a couple months couple years back and it is definitely a fun motor.
I had heard this before too. The B20 is from the CRV, which was classified as a "light truck" so BAR wouldn't allow it to swap over. However, It has been years since I had read that. Maybe it got changed.
I rode my VFR there last year and when I descended into the San Joaquin Valley via Yosemite, the sky turned brown.
if its obd1- you need 4 wire i think, if its obd0 1 wire try to grab an older ls exhaust manifold with the flange already on it.
Someone confirm this? "ls exhaust manifold will bolt to the b20?"
Yes ls manifold will work. Im using a p75 manifold with a p75 obd1 ecu. No idea which one will work for obd0...
