lowering springs-hatch to a wagon?

wondering if the lowering springs on my '91 SI would be a direct bolt-on to a wagon? they're still on the shocks and struts. not sure what kind they were or what the drop was on them. they were on there before i got it. i know that they're not a direct bolt on for the sedans. obviously i don't have my wagon yet but i want to know before i get mine. i know i can take them off and then put them on the wagons shocks and struts but if i don't have to i'm not going to.

They should work fine, as long as you stauy year specific.

You actually have to use Civic rear shocks in order to lower the wagon, because the spring mount on wagon shocks is much lower than on a civic.

You can also lower a 93 Del Sol using stock wagon shocks and stock del sol springs.

:D Yes they'll fit on any '89-'91/96 wgn.

    :) :D They'll fit on a '88 too,but you'll need '89-'91/96 Civic Rear lower control arms.There are very minor differences in the '88 Wgn,but DON"T let this stop you from buying a '88.The '88 has PLUSES too.

the rear struts are different than the 89-91 rears. so if you want to buy an 88, you'll have to get a set of rear LCAs from an 89-91 to swap into your wagon. but why would you want to do spend the money to do this? you're already saving money by swapping over the 91 parts.

and yes, the 88 has its benefits, like the rear struts. supposedly that set up is stronger, which is why they used the same style on the Integra Type R, except they were bigger in the ITR.
  • thanks everyone. your info's gonna be very helpful when i find the right one. might take awhile now since i just put a new engine in my other 190E. still gonna be one of my next projects though.

For instance, it's lighter, but it still has the same GVWR, so you can safely carry more stuff. And it still has the manual seatbelts.
