Hey what did you use to make the window trim and moldings look brand new again?
The CRX quarter glass has to be set in with the trim. So it is new.
The base trim of the door window is scuffed and shot trim black.
The door-top was sanded down, primer, and shot satin black
I grabbed a couple of shots of the instrument panel and cluster.
I pulled the 2 filters out of the cluster and replaced all of the bulbs. (SOOO much brighter)
Wow man, that was an awesomely quick build! Great work and attention to detail. My CR-X is still pretty stock and I hope I never have to "restore" a '91 Honda Now, I'd like to restore my '78 Civic Wagon!
Went to a stanced meet with a friend that is a member from our forum last weekend.. (had to make proper adjustments) lol
Fabbed custom camber linkage for rear
lowered the rear 2"
Lowered the front 1"
Thanks guys!! Lay you better not restore that wagon!
the originality of the OE condition is far too nostalgic...
I did say, some day. That means hopefully before I die. I love my '78 the way it is honestly. I have no problems with it's condition. I have a '77 wagon also that I want to restore and swap for my wife which will be done way before my wagon gets any body work. And even that is probably 5-10 years into the future. I'm also inclined to say that my '90 wagon will get the rust replaced and body work done before either.
Ok so YOU are the guy that I meant to give credit to for the VMS washers. This is where I saw them and liked them and decided to grab a set. I tried to go back and figure out who it was that gave me the idea so I could give them credit but I couldn't remember. I'll be sure to change up my post. I love the way these set off the engine bay! The red on white looks so damn good. I really want a white wagon!
aw man, don't worry about giving credit.. Just make sure you buy them from me next time hahaha
Your right, they really do a good job helping to pop the bay!
Bit of a depressing update.. I let my little brother borrow this car while we built his turbo Integra. From what I can tell he really dogged the thing (he is in collage).
I felt disrespected, he brought it back with a laundry list of issues.. Like;
2 blown speakers
Dirty oil
a spark plug seal leak
VC leak
a dying coil
the passenger window knocked off the scissor assembly
the horn button wires torn out
a (very lightly) curbed and scratched wheel
a low brake fluid level
All of that was actually fixed, sorted or replaced last weekend.. with the addition of some new NGK spark plugs
Some shots of it chillin' in the driveway today.. All is well. :smug: And I have been driving it often lately.
I took it out on some back roads yesterday and noticed it had far more mid range pep with the new coil and plugs.
I appreciate it dude. thought that would be a good one to post. as a comparison to our "modern/ Domestic" vehicles. Massive contrast...
Hell the hood on the 2WD Ram is almost 5" higher than the roof of the CRX. (which is not very low)
Are you going to Import Alliance in ATL this year?

The rex is looking good man! Clean as hell! Love the "actual size" photo next to the 4door pickup.
