Shaved handles look sexy on wagons. FINISHED! LOOOKY!

So my friends talked me into doing it since the handles were broken anyways..

It's just the rears for now until I can find some little poppers and get more time to do the front.
Input?

I'll post the finished pictures in my thread with my car pics, just felt like posting these in here.

Funny, now it kinda looks like a mini minivan...

How exactly do you open the doors now, from the inside only?

I look forward to seeing more pics.

    Haha yes it does.

Yes, from the inside only, but I had to do that before since the handles were broken anyways.

You can buy door poppers and hook them to a remote, it's pretty simple, I just need a place to put them, in these little doors.

speaking of back doors its awsome that wagons let u roll the back windows down almost all the way unlike most 4-door cars that let them get like 3/4 the way down....

what you cold do, is get the windows to auto, instead of crank. then install a system to roll all the windows down at the push of a button. that way you wont have to open from the inside, you can just reach inside. it'll be a nice system....reallllly fly 8)

Yeah...and shave the rear doors while you're at it.
  • kahuna, that's beautiful!!
been wanting to do that on mine... er, the wife's wagon for some time now.
did you have to layer the bondo in stages? I have a prob with it cracking as it cures, if I lap it up too thick.

16 Guage taqch welded in, not too hot on the welding or the door will wave out, and watch for weld splatter on the windows. :(

    Then bondo bondo bondo bondo
    sand sand sand sand.
    bondo bondo
    sand sand
    spot putty
    sand
    primer
    paint..

It went something like that. :D
I use more than enough hardner in my bondo so it doesn't crack out. The thing is you gotta press pretty hard on the first swipe, then start filling, that way it sticks good. It's hard for me to explain, I've done it so much I could do it with my eyes closed, I am one with bondo.

  • yeah, I usually let her primer, spot putty and then sand the old main mast.
