New Paint Job?

alright..its been a while and im pretty sure i have the ugliest wagon here. i bought it from the previous owner with some strange low quality blue on the doors and down all the way around the car. and right before the doors go to the windows is a big red pin stripe, and also all the black plastic on the sides are sprayed blue. it just looks horrible the rust is just getitn worse by the day. and now seeing as i will have this car for a while i wont to make it look at least decent. so this winter i decided that i want to paint that half of the car back to the original factory blue which is on the top and the hood. any tips on what i should do first? how do i take the plastic molding off. and should i completely sand the doors? and half the trunk? its really a mess ill get pictures up ASAP. thanks for your help everyone

There is a how to for taking the trim off, I think Bam had posted it. Just search it.viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5314 There are all kinds of how too's on almost anything that you want or need. Ive not done any painting but I know theres a few that have. Be careful when removing the trim just read the how to and read it again. One way to do it is to mask off, use the red brillo pad and repaint it on the car. Go to advance and get duplicolor trim and bumper paint.(might need to some primer). Works great. Good luck and keep us updated.
