So I was at the junk yard a few days ago and found a wagon, on the other side of the fence. They would not let me pull any parts. So I called everyday to see if it came into the yard. Finally this Friday they released the car into the yard. Found good passenger seat to transfer over to the drivers, good drivers door panel and rear factory mats.(I looked every where for the front ones). 40 bucks and a near mint interior. Wish list, edm center pocket, and front mats.
More updates, Had the distributor go out on me the other day, Found that the wire from the coil to the igniter was brittle and weak, this is the second time around for the distributor. So I replaced it. Then I got a wild hair and decided to make a upper timing belt cover. The Oregon wagon plate was the original for the car. I also got some color match paint from my trusty parts guy Tom. (thanks Tom), and painted the valve cover.
Just read from start to now. Great work. I love that timing belt cover you made. I to am going to mpfi swap mine and I have a z6 head so Its neat to see it done and the reaction to the difference in power. Keep it up.
Put the civic in winter mod, snow tires on the fit wheels, also put the rack back on. In good time to, went to the grandparents house for Christmas and there was snow.
Hey man..props on the wagon build. Ive seen your Fit before..dig the teal flaps on it. Im from Gresham/Troutdale area, drive a stock white 86 wagon...seen some nice wagons around.
