Map sensor question

I have a b18a1 from a 93 integra swapped into my 91 wagovan. I have most everything hooked up except the map sensor. The stock wagon sensor is a 3-prong plug located on the firewall, and everyone says to extend the wires to the map sensor on the back of the b18 manifold, but it's a 2 prong plug and shaped different. Has anyone ran into this problem? Any input is much appreciated .

(and everyone says to extend the wires to the map sensor on the back of the b18 manifold)? can you take some pics and what intake manifold and throttle body are you using?

Sorry for pic quality, but I've circled the sensor. All stock b18a1 manifold

the part you ciricled looks like the Idle speed motor.
See that black vacuume hose coming out of your throttlebody? That will connect to your map sensor. re use the D series one afaik the obd0 ones are the same
  • Ok thanks. What exactly do I plug into this then?

There should be a 2 pin plug on your d series loom which goes to a similar place on the old motor

    that is your IACV.

    idle air control valve

it controls how much air goes past your throttle body to keep the engine idling smooth.

there are actually a few other plugs on the wiring harness that will plug into the IACV that are not the correct plugs. how ever, they still plug in.

so be ware, and make sure you plug the correct wires in. it could easily fry your ECU.

A B18A1 also has a seperate MAP sensor on the firewall

You need to use that MAP sensor.
