D16Z6 wiring.

Does anyone have a solution without using a jumper to get the Z6 to work using only existing wires coupled with full Z6 harness and the Z6's P28 ECU? I ask prior to trying myself, for confidence.

one thing that makes a large difference is weather you are starting with MPFI or DPFI.

you might be able to make it work but you are seriously making a lot more work for yourself. but some people like doing things the hard way and who i am to judge?

the easiest way to do the swap is to get a jumper harness, add a few wires for VTEC and there you go. assuming its MPFI already.

otherwise, to me the easiest thing to do is do a MPFI swap by adding new wires for the injectors and distributor harness, then do the above...

let us know how your method works out.
  • P28 installed. When I turn the key, the relay clicks, but no starter turn...

did you conected all ground wires? especially which one is going near to ECU?
  • Success! D16Z6 is running with P28 ECU in the wagon! Just need to pick up another O2 sensor on my next day off, to rid the cluster of the engine light!

Not MPFI already. Skipped the middle step and went for the gold.
