Man I sold them wheels to you way toooooooooo cheap. Them things look so nice. I was wanting to refinish them but never could find the time. All I ever found the time to do was remove 20 some years of tarnish and clearcoat.
Glad you like the wheels thatdoodle and I am glad somebody did them some justice.
i like the camo body panels fo sho :P those wheels do look damn fine, damn fine.
what flairs did you use on the front fender? do they protrude at all or are they just laying flat against the fender?
Theyre mk2 jetta flairs all around. the bottom edge sticks out about 1/8'' along the bottom edge. I did that so the wheels would look proportioned in the front. If you were to do the flairs its possible to get them to sit flush on the fender.
i was looking at 195/40/16 but they are like frickign $120 a piece, but the 205 is only $59... err, im getting my fenders rolled... you think it will still be a major issue? my wagon isnt slammed..

I'd go 185/50/16. If you roll the fender completely you wont have a lip to attach the fender flare to. You have to roll only the middle section of the fender's arch and leave the lip at the ends to attach the flair. I riveted my flairs on.
Thats whats up. You did a good job on your rear lip so im sure you can trim the flares well. Just take your time trimming. cut the ends with a bit left over the moldings and push it up against the fenders trimming a little at a time. dont get too cocky or you might cut too much like i did lol.
If your going to rivet them on i would suggest priming the holes you drill on the fender so rust doesnt start forming.
I would also suggest taking the flairs out like once a year to make sure theyre not accumilating dirt and holding moisture.
those are the 2 enemies of metal.
sweet, thanks dude. i'll definifly prime then holes though... luckily i dont have to worry too much about rust down here as much, though years of dirt will eventually rust stuff away, haha.
i think i already cut one of my flairs too much i was messing around and anyways, yeah. oh well there was a few left at the yard and they were only like $1.50 each.

I tried to find out more about the wheels but it looks like it was an option wheel for the BMW E30's. I found another set and it also stated it was for a E30 BMW.
ya a buddy of mine had similar rims on his bimmer. when he was gona trash it i tried to convince him to let me have the rims but he already had plans for his MK1 rabbit... they look good on the rabbit, but they would have looked nice on my wagon. maybe i should go rabbit hunting lol!

I'll tell you one thing though.... If you run that size wheel you have to do a 165... 185 max with a low profile sidewall tire.

I googled 185/50/16 and found tires for 90 each
