This year was our 45th consecutive running of this event. Had a few offs, but no one was injured. I went this year with teh intentions of taking teh ST record. The current record was 1:51.xxx. The first run was a 1:54.xxx but half way up, my vid camera came off the sun visor which pulled it down in front of my face causing me to lose focus and totally botch a late apex. Second run with camera 100% secured I was able to run a 1:49.xxx. Was stoked, but had 4 more tires. Went a little faster each run but the first run on Sunday with the end run being a 1:48.6xx. Was happy to finally have a record at the event my wife and I chair.

Both of these are great examples of never lift. If either one of us would have, the outcome would have been quite different.
