My Backyard Bucket A.K.A. Jefee
JDMWago666
Senior Wagonist
I bought this car awhile ago and have been on HCW for a little over a year now. I did my intro(I think) and never did a build thread. I was looking at Jefee(My Wagon) the other day and thought about how awful it looked/drove when I first bought it compared to how it looks/rides now. I love my wagon and so does my wife. It's not the best wagon out there(nothing compared to MrM3) but it is mine and a lot of blood, sweat and tears went into it. On to the pics!
Gonna update this slowly so I don't rot anyones brains by looking at 10000(ok, over exagerating) pictures at once.
Year:1989/90
Make:Honda(Of Course)
Model:Civic Wagon(Love the sound of that)
Day after I bought it, it was race day at California Speeway in Fontana, Calif.
It was a rough start, major dent in the hood. Springs were compressed so there was maybe 1/2 inch between each coil. -7 camber up front and -8 on rear(Didn't even know that was possible). Tape player, blown speakers and throwing two codes, one for TDC and the other I forgot. Only good thing was that it was what I wanted, had MPFI and it was love at first site.

Had to keep you guys waiting in anticipation
First thing I did was toss out the compressed springs and got me some Skunk2 Pro S Struts with Tein lowering springs.
This is how it looked after. Only pics I could find of it after the install.
Cleaned it up A LOT and straightened out the dr. door.
Put on my Home Depot lip. Me and my buddy were drunk and decided to give it a shot. We also put a new hood and t bar on.
Not bad in my opinion.
Got rid of those horrible looking Halo lights it had on it, got some HIDs from my bro and tinted the stock corner lights amber.
Stay tuned, there's more to come
I'm not the best picture taker and these are mostly cell pics.
Bought some purple Blox lugnuts, purple LCAs, ebay sway bars and c pillar bar.
Than me and my buddy were bored and got together to take some pictures after I sold him my rims and put on some steelies. I went with the two tone look that reminded me of my old CRX(Sohca or Sasha).
Got the hubcaps with the steelies but they wouldn't stay on so I threw them away.
Day before I moved to Idaho from Southern California I bought some LS Webs with great tires for $125. I don't have any pics of Jefee before the road trip but some of the trip itself.
I just realized that most, if not all, of my pics are of the front driver side corner LOL. That is the good side though.
Thats all for now, stay tuned because there is plenty more that has been done.
Bought some purple paint and started going at it with some parts.
Painted the valve cover, radiator holders, and the tow hook I've had for awhile.
Also picked up some white spray paint.
Sadly, shortly after moving to Idaho, my timing jumped and the tensioner bolt stripped. My Jefee sat for a couple months and with me not having a job it took awhile to fix.
Best part about it is, my wife decided to help me with it. Bought some of the paint and helped me sand the car. She's awesome, sometimes LOL
Finished product
The entire car, finished product.
The color is called "oil rubbed bronze" it's a Wal Mart color LOL
Complete motor, trans, ecu, harness, innovative mounts, and shift linkage.
Out with the old
Rain delay
In with the new.
I used a skateboard, two jacks and my wife to get it in.
Motor was in, in less than a day. Still didnt wanna run afterwards though.
When I got them
After they were painted
On my car
I thought it looked pretty good. Running 195/60R14s
Car would not start, battery kept dying and I was losing my mind trying to figure it out.
Finally took it to a shop, thats when I met Nick(Stampern). He helped me re pin my engine harness and trace the power shortage. New harness and it fired right up. Battery still kept dying, we took the alternator off and tested it. Darn thing was throwing 28volts(or however it's measured) instead ofthe standard 12.5volts.
Got me some new rims from the junkyard for Christmas. My wife bought them for me. I was super excited until she told me I had to get rid of the RT steelies I had
Lucky for me these are what I found at the junkyard that day
Enkei 92s BIT**ES I got a set of 4 with good tires from the junkyard for $80.
35 offset 15x8 4x100 and 205/50R15s It was a glorious day!
Was bored one day and decided to re cover my headliner and door panels. Also added the DA map light.
AND got a new lip shortly after the rims
Thanks though, I do get a lot of comments about the panels. I appreciate your good comment
Made me feel like I was low.
On to more updates
After me and Nick figured out the alternator problem, it still wouldn't start. Ended up having to replace the fuse box underneath the dash. Fired right up after that. Got it registered and finally after 7(yes I said seven) months of it being non op I was driving it.
It was great.
A big shot out to Nick(a.k.a. Stampern) If it wasn't for him my car probably wouldn't be running. Thanks buddy!
I forgot to mention that I picked these up at the junkyard too. Came off a 79 Prelude and they fit my rims
Personally I like the older "H" that honda had.
Some pics outside Nicks old shop.
Some shots of My LS Wagon, Nicks high compression RT and My buddy Joes Z6 EG8
I love this pic!
Kid? LOL
The only interior shots I have are the ones that are already up, sorry.
Yes you gotta take the door panels apart to recover those.
