My Backyard Bucket A.K.A. Jefee

I bought this car awhile ago and have been on HCW for a little over a year now. I did my intro(I think) and never did a build thread. I was looking at Jefee(My Wagon) the other day and thought about how awful it looked/drove when I first bought it compared to how it looks/rides now. I love my wagon and so does my wife. It's not the best wagon out there(nothing compared to MrM3) but it is mine and a lot of blood, sweat and tears went into it. On to the pics!
Gonna update this slowly so I don't rot anyones brains by looking at 10000(ok, over exagerating) pictures at once.
Year:1989/90
Make:Honda(Of Course)
Model:Civic Wagon(Love the sound of that)
Day after I bought it, it was race day at California Speeway in Fontana, Calif.

It was a rough start, major dent in the hood. Springs were compressed so there was maybe 1/2 inch between each coil. -7 camber up front and -8 on rear(Didn't even know that was possible). Tape player, blown speakers and throwing two codes, one for TDC and the other I forgot. Only good thing was that it was what I wanted, had MPFI and it was love at first site.

I like it already, seems to be alot of blood sweat tears on all of them. Ive found taking a break every now n then helps to not get discouraged. Ive pulled my interior out for the second time and it just sits as of now.

    Now for some updates
Had to keep you guys waiting in anticipation
First thing I did was toss out the compressed springs and got me some Skunk2 Pro S Struts with Tein lowering springs.

    820.jpg
This is how it looked after. Only pics I could find of it after the install.
Cleaned it up A LOT and straightened out the dr. door.
    821.jpg
Put on my Home Depot lip. Me and my buddy were drunk and decided to give it a shot. We also put a new hood and t bar on.
    Not bad in my opinion.

Got rid of those horrible looking Halo lights it had on it, got some HIDs from my bro and tinted the stock corner lights amber.

Stay tuned, there's more to come :)

I'm not the best picture taker and these are mostly cell pics.

Nothing else was really done to it besides paint. I went from flat brown to a weird color green/grey lol.
    369.jpg

Bought some purple Blox lugnuts, purple LCAs, ebay sway bars and c pillar bar.
    370.jpg

Than me and my buddy were bored and got together to take some pictures after I sold him my rims and put on some steelies. I went with the two tone look that reminded me of my old CRX(Sohca or Sasha).

Got the hubcaps with the steelies but they wouldn't stay on so I threw them away.

Day before I moved to Idaho from Southern California I bought some LS Webs with great tires for $125. I don't have any pics of Jefee before the road trip but some of the trip itself.

I just realized that most, if not all, of my pics are of the front driver side corner LOL. That is the good side though.
Thats all for now, stay tuned because there is plenty more that has been done. :D

I was just reading through the post I made and forgot to mention that when I bought it the rings were shot. My buddy had a D15b lying around, we put the ZC pistons in, an A6 cam and a Y8 cam gear before dropping it in my wagon.

Bought some purple paint and started going at it with some parts.
Painted the valve cover, radiator holders, and the tow hook I've had for awhile.

Sadly, shortly after moving to Idaho, my timing jumped and the tensioner bolt stripped. My Jefee sat for a couple months and with me not having a job it took awhile to fix.

While my car sat I gathered some cash for a quick rattle can paint job. I wasn't feeling the greenish grey color it had prior. I took it apart an got to work.
Best part about it is, my wife decided to help me with it. Bought some of the paint and helped me sand the car. She's awesome, sometimes LOL

After getting my motor in, i traded my LS Webs for some RT steelies and hubcaps. Painted the rims white and the caps the same color as the car.

    Next updates were:
Car would not start, battery kept dying and I was losing my mind trying to figure it out.
Finally took it to a shop, thats when I met Nick(Stampern). He helped me re pin my engine harness and trace the power shortage. New harness and it fired right up. Battery still kept dying, we took the alternator off and tested it. Darn thing was throwing 28volts(or however it's measured) instead ofthe standard 12.5volts.

Got me some new rims from the junkyard for Christmas. My wife bought them for me. I was super excited until she told me I had to get rid of the RT steelies I had :(

Lucky for me these are what I found at the junkyard that day :D

    172.jpg

Enkei 92s BIT**ES I got a set of 4 with good tires from the junkyard for $80.

  • Love the headliner and doors!
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
    ^^Thank you
  • Awesome build! Love that you used a skateboard 8) I dig the headliner and door panel material HARD. I wanna find some rad shit like that, how long did it take you to switch the fabric?
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
It took about 2-3 hours, lots of patients and about a 12 pack LOL
Thanks though, I do get a lot of comments about the panels. I appreciate your good comment :)
  • bay.kidbay.kid New Wagonist
headliner and door panels are sick! i need to do my door panels i got lazy. and those those rims from the junkyard are a score! i can never find those in 15 only 14
  • Your RAD fabric choice has inspired me to look for something a bit 90's, which, I guess is pretty fitting. Maybe some Ninja Turtles  ? Simpsons 8) ? Haha
  • BlistaBlista Band Wagon
Nice wagon ! Is it lowered ?
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
^^Yeah it's lowered but not super slammed like a lot of other wagons :)
  • BlistaBlista Band Wagon
OK, thanks ! Yeah I saw it wasn't slammed but I thought it was slightly lower than stock, I wasn't sure.
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
It's a good thing my car isn't slammed, I had a car load of people last night and my exhaust was scraping LOL
Made me feel like I was low.
    On to more updates
After me and Nick figured out the alternator problem, it still wouldn't start. Ended up having to replace the fuse box underneath the dash. Fired right up after that. Got it registered and finally after 7(yes I said seven) months of it being non op I was driving it.
    It was great.

A big shot out to Nick(a.k.a. Stampern) If it wasn't for him my car probably wouldn't be running. Thanks buddy!
