New job is BLISS! Not needing to use the shuttle. Saving a Ton of Dorrar! :top:
Wanted to fix the Central Locking. The Micro switch on the Drivers door had some corrosion, so wasn't working 100%. Got a spare switch from a Sedan scrapper. I first swapped the complete locks over, But the sedan one was sticking/seizing from sitting in the open for so long. So i swapped the switch over onto the shuttle lock. Works like a charm now
I got the rear door handles from the sedan also, so De-Locked the front doors whilst i was at it
(You can see my sexy hairy legs in that last one, MMMmmmmm. Been polishing it to much!)
Whilst the door cards were off. I fitted some Anti-Rattle Felt Tape to try and stop the annoying squeaking my door cards currently do! (Put pressure on the Door cards when driving and it stops) on all the contact faces.
I also finally Re-Did my passengers mirror glass. I managed to un-bond an OEM mirror glass from a Hatch wing mirror i had spare, 5 Minutes and patience with a hair dryer and she came out with a little persuasion. All fixed into the shuttles housing and now i can see! (After market stick ons suck)
My Splitter Design. It holds my 19 Stone, Bacon fueled Fatass!
All supported off the chassis rails, using the OEM Towing eye locations
Wrapped in it Carbon wrap to make it look a bit neater
Built back up with Edging trim
I didnt want to support the splitter off the bumper, Other all i would be doing would be flexing the bumper, rather than turning the energy into useful down force. I couldn't find ANY splitter supports long enough for my needs. So i used some off the shelf Boating gear and made these!
man that splitter wing turned out great. I'll be honest when i first saw the piece of wood i was like Great another Redneck Ricer.... But U changed that outlook. It turned out awesome
Then, Some W*nker keyed the shuttle. Arse holes!
Whole street was targeted, at least it wasn't just some knob after just the shuttle!
Well, atleast i booked it in for bodywork last Saturday 8)
Ive been looking for some eyebrows for a whilst. I knows its Chavvy, But i had a vision. Not Made up yet though...Its only carbon wrap, easily removed if im not keen.
Before fitting the charger, i need to fix the Code 9 on the ECU (CYP Sensor). Ive tried 3 Dizzys and 2 ECU's and the code is still there. So it must be in the wiring.
I checked the conversion harness and the continuity in the CYP wires are fine. so it must be in the main engine harness. So going to wire it directly from the Dizzy to ECU tomorrow!
They are still selling the Boseblick kits here in Germany for the CRX and Civics headlights, but why don't you cut some metal and do the proper weld in kind? Wagon is looking good. You want to come to Germany and finish mine up!
I have started a new thread as i couldnt edit the Main Title and it looked as if i had never updated my build...which is FAR from the truth!
So! Lets Begin. (This has all happened within the last 2-3 weeks...)
Got myself some new wheels, Rota RKR 15x8 ET10. Always loved the mega dished Watanabes, But at over $700 PER WHEEL. Well out of my league! Im not THAT Baller...
Bit of Poke...
Didnt want to roll my rears as they are in too good condition to ruin! especially on our Salted road...
Maximum Camber...
Next i had to tackle the issue on the front. the wheels fouled the caliper and wouldn't turn...
Sorted...
Did the Timing belt with new Waterpump and seals! Gates parts fitted!
Oil Change. My Sump Plug was leaking slightly, New seal cured that
HAMP Filter
New Sandwich Plate (eBay chinese Jobby)
New Plugs (Ready for boost...)
Love my Trolley Jack!
Fitting some Camber arms to try and bring the front wheels in
As soon as i installed and tightened them up. Found an issue. The Boots are made of CHEESE! (I have not even put the wheels back on before this happened!)
Replaced with some QUALITY boots from my work the following morning
And in a quest for more camber...
Managed to get hold of some NEW OEM Bosch Foglights for cheap off ebay. as my current ones have suffered a hit with a stone and smashed. Need that JDM Touch...
Stained glass paint
Before.
During
Comparison (Old on Left, New on Right) Makes the front end look alot more "Fresh"
Painted my Wiper Arms
Now onto my PCV System...I had my rocker welded and some baffle plates welded on the inside of the rocker.
Lick of paint...
Polishing the important part...
Ready for polish and machine buff...
Not bad...
And a quick polish.
Now onto the breathers. Using -10 Hose and Stainless Un-Colored fittings (As the Coloured ones fade after a whilst) Using my Ghetto ass installation rig...
Now onto the catch tank, Using a Cheap, Hollow eBay Can...
But im going to make it function like a proper catch can. Using these...
The pipes will lead to the very bottom of the can...
And will have to find its way through this...
And exit through this, to Atmosphere. (using some 1/2" Barbed hosetails)
Before..
After
Next was to tackle to exhaust manifold. Out with the old and OEM
In with the New, Butchered eBay 4-2-1 Header...
Some late night work on a friends ramp
Quick tidy up...
Also got a PW:JDM Rocker dress up set.
And the Last update, I have had Neptune RTP Demon Fitted in preparation for boost...
JAE is a 4 Day camping Event. There is always lots of European cars that make the trip! (Specifically Silvia S12's and 323's). Worth the trip, more so because of the 4 day camping
Mimms is an Afternoons worth of event, So may not be worth the distance unless you plan it into a small holiday or something!
First thing was to tidy the wiring from the engine swap few months back as i literally just wacked the engine in, and the wiring was a total mess. But that's all sorted now!
Dry Fit
First thing i needed to do was swap the alternator pulley. the JRSC uses a 4PK Belt set-up. I had previously been using a 3PK Belt to run my alternator, so had to opt for a stock D16Z6 Alternator. But my pulley shaft rounded off. so i hope this alternator works...
Another major issue is the Power steering. The main low pressure line between the rack and the PAS cooler hard lines is in the way of the tensioner pulley for the JRSC. So im going to remove the entire PAS Cooling set-up and run a new line to be clear of the JRSC Belt!
Other than that. its pretty straight forward. I need to extend the MAP Sensor plug as its currently too Short, as well as get some new hose for the IACV and to plumb the PCV Box on the back of the engine to the catch tank as well as figure out what intake filter set-up to use. Not sure weather to use an OEM Box or an after market pod filter set-up

Every trip abroad for a meet is a small holiday for me ;P
I dont really care for brands, nice rides are nice rides, dont care if theyre Japanese, German, Scandinavian or Russian. I visit Wörthersee every year and seriously, it doesnt get better than that!
Cant wait to see some moving footage of the JRSC on the Shuttle.
ooooh, so it replaces the alt tension adjuster with the s/c tensioner? That's pretty neat. I think you can get away with adding a little clearance Clarkson style too.
I haven't got the time to notch the chassis. Will have to go clarkson on it until the engine comes out for paint after new year at which I'll get it cut out and boxed.
Another issue is the power steering. All the main lines are in the way!
Hit the chassis with a rubber mallet, this will make enough clearance
You can also keep P/S by extending the 2x lines that go to the rack and remove the hard lines that go to the reserve bottle and the cooler. I've done it before and didnt have any issues

Is JAE worth the drive from the Netherlands?
Was thinking about coming over to some UK events (Like Players Show/Rollhard/South Mimms) next year.
