Now sits near the steering wheel, has a nice throw to it now.
Got some "performance Instrumentation"
New sandwich plate, fitted Oil temp and pressure sensors. also has a 3rd outlet for the forever coming Turbo. Also new HAMP Filter, oil and Blox Magnetic plugs
Fitted my guage, in Fast and Furious location
Fitted some new Rear Brake Shoes, adjusted cables and shoes to suit
Painted the drums as well.
Also, someone came and STOLE my bonnet
Luckily i had this dented one around until it gets returned...
Bought this off eBay for £10, it had a couple of dents in it, but the shipping company ruined it. Its only temp, as the other bonnet has gone to have some custom welding work done
Been trying to solve my Water leaking issues. Every time it rains, i end up with a puddle in the passenger footwell, which has caused some "Damage" to the actual floor. It seems to have been a previous issue, as there is a repair to the underside of the actual chassis rail underneath the car, and signs of a previous repair on the inside of the floor.
I first thought this was the issue, this grommet with the cowl screws into, as the seal had gone dry, and there was some evidence of instant gasket holding it in. So removed, cleaned and used some Seam sealer to glue it back in place. The heater motor is directly under this grommet
This didnt solve my problem. So, i removed the heater box out and had a closer look. Yep, Someone has certainly been here before...
There was a hole here, where the rust is, So treated it and seam sealed it. Unfortunatly, the leak wasnt here...
Turned out to be this hole....I'm assuming someone has got stuck, maybe leafs or something on the inner workings of the A-Pillar. So i covered the hole from the inside, and seam sealed it. The water has been coming through a hole (Mid-right under my screw driver) - Again, so i seam sealed it shut
It currently doesn't leak....But i may re-seal it after a week or so just to be safe. Once thats done. Ill repair the floor inside!
And i repainted my wipers since they were off.
Not bad for 24year old paint....Looks lush when i can actually be arsed to polish it...
I've wanted to do it since day 1. I got the ZC Hood for just £10. And cut the bulge out. My welder is doing an awesome job. I got a pro doing it. And he's done an excellent job!
It makes the front end look more aggressive. Which is the main reason I'm having it done.
Next euro part maybe some roof bars. Since OEM ones are silly money. Looking at some from either the newer shape shuttle or MB chassis civic. As they are both the same
Well, First things first. Finally finished the wheels, Sanded all 4 wheels on my DIY Lathe, Then finished them all off with a Polish on the lathe and then a Machine polish afterwards. Shiny! Only fitted 2 to the front, as i only had 3 valves. So waiting on the 4th to arrived, then blue all round!
Which colour do you prefer?
Next, time to sort the roof....
New way to open the boot!
I know the roof wrap isnt everyones taste. But it certainly looks better than it used to with the severe lacquer peel and the odd patches here and there.
Has a real nice reflection to it. Ive seem some Cheap Wraps, But this is the Mid-range stuff. and its quite decent! It was also very hot this morning, so i managed to get a few creases out here and there, and it sits real nice now.
Next on my list today, was the windscreen trim, been missing since i had the car, was removed for whatever reason.
After some careful trimming.
Tool of choice.
Done!
Next, the wing... It fits about 70%. So it needs some fettling...
Cut in half, overlapped, and it needs approx 12mm taken out to reduce the width.
It also needed some sanding/ cutting/ grinding to fit the contours of the shuttles body line
Still needs some minor work
Thats it for today! Need to work out the best way to bond the 2 half's together to keep its strength
did you buy new windshield trim or pull it off another wagon? I had mine replaced a while back the guys did an incredibly terrible job. doesnt sit close to flush
this came with the wagon when i bought it, it was just loosely in place. nearly lost it on the freeway....
This trim is the one you need to install with the windscreen. So i just cut it slightly and bonded it in place. Going through the service history, its had a replacement windscreen at some point, and obviously never fitted the seal. But it looks ALOT better now. always used to bug me
Comments
To which it doesnt. Seems the fault it more terminal, so i think the next step is to take a new wire direct from the Dizzy to ECU.
Also tidied up my Bucket seat mounts, Added some washers, Painted some bits. Looks better now.
Also cleaned it for a local show.
So, finally found the right nut size, M16x2mm (As found on Towballs)
Now, my camber is the same all round, looks alot better.
Next is to sort the right height, as its way off.
And finally got the last 2 wheels sorted out.

Nice work, representing the Europe side very well!

Well. Here it is....
Got the wing mounted, Tigerseal and 6 Countersunk bolts. She aint going no where now!
Painted the underside black, as the Wrap wont stick to the rough surface.
Ginger Bollox @ work again
And the end result?
