Re-routing the brake lines

has anyone re-routed the brake lines in the wagon's engine bay for a more clean apearance? if so what did you use?

Peruse http://www.inlinetube.com/ and check out SS straight lines that you then bend to fit.

Also check eastwood, summit racing, and/or lane automotive for powedercoated lines.

Getting nice bends can be tricky.

wow, inlinetube.com has a bunch of stuff for domestic cars. i think their street rod section is the best place for what i would consider using. thanks.

is it possible to do away with the proportioning valve and run stainless lines straight to the calipers?

you'll want to keep the proportioning valve, otherwise braking performance will suffer and you'll lock up the rears. the prop valve is responsible for sending most of the braking power to the front brakes... where it does the most good.

lots of people have re-routed brake lines for that shaved bay look. A common practice is to install the prop valve behind the glove box.
