  • $1200 for my 91. I think I did ok. Bought it because I got rid of my 81 wago and I regret it. Last owner couldn't get it to pass do to the excessive smoke after head job. Radiator, T-stat full tank of super and long back road trip with lots of smoke and lots of coke. I love and can't wait to put the mpfi swap with my SOHC ZC. This site is awsome.
  • paid $1900 for my 89 civic wagon 2wd. 167k automatic. happy with the price because i didnt need to fix anything. it was mechanically sound. the paint is good too but i want to paint it a different color next year so thats the only thing ill have to work on. oh, and i bought speakers for it..thats about it. so id say, money well spent

I think I might man ive waited long enough lol.
  • as long as its in good shape, then yeah that's an ok price. I mean, its by no means cheap, but like i said, if its in good condition then its ok. If it's a raggedy pile of rust with all kinds of busted suspension and its burning oil or barely running, then no.

Go check it out, and just trust your gut. Give her a test drive, and look her over REALLY well. Pick out all the little things that need attention, and decide if its worth it to you, of just a waste of time.

I drove 7.5 hours each way to look at a red RT in Nashville, and it turned out it was nothing like the pics he sent me. I almost bought it too, but then i stopped and thought about it for 10 seconds, and decided it wasn't worth dumping another $1000 into it just to get the suspension and wheels / tires and glass replaced (yeah it was that bad!), then I'd still have a car that burned oil like crazy and the paint looked like shit.

It worked out though, a few months later i found a much nicer red RT for $300 less than what the Nashville guy wanted.
  • paid 900 for my first wagon dx had a lsvtec setup

Thanks for your input, before I go check it out imma make a list of the littles issues and what it will cost, did the carfax thing turned up good, just need to check it out in person and judge for myself and hope it turn out to be a good deal.
  • Got mine for $800 bucks. It was in the process of being painted and was pretty much all in a box in the garage. I asked the guy selling it if he would sell it to me the way it was and he said sure . so had it towed home and put it all back togehter after three days . tried starting it and the fuel pump was bad . So i had it replaced and i purchased a new set of SI replicas polished and some coil overs . so not a bad deal love this car would not get rid of it for nothing in the world.

$0.00. My un-brother had it down at the ranch, and wasn't able to keep it running (too many things falling off or not working for his ducktape and bailing wire to keep up with). He filled all his hunting tags and needed another freezer, which dad had, so they traded. So I guess for the price of the old freezer, I ended up with the 1990 RT4WD. Dad didn't need it and my Impreza had just been crushed between SUVs on I-80, so I got the "cochecita" and am now putting my $$ into making it a healthy, working, long-term relationship.
  • got mine for 2200. i over paid, but happy with 135k on it when i got it. now at 137k.
