  • Super clean car bro, I ride hood quite a bit down south but up here i just roll to sno-qualmie since it has the best board park within 2 hours drive.
  • We should meet up at the mountain sometime, maybe next year though. I don't think I have time this year.

steering wheel resto is under way...

took out little siver wrapped foil ring from steerin wheel center
    201.jpg

unwrapped the foil and the plastic was broken and is super brittle. its super glued back together, i plan to plastidip it and paint it... or just plasti dip it...
    202.jpg

completely dismantled for clean up... im going to need to sand the metal part of the wheel due to a little bit of surface rust.... i hope to have this complete in the next couple days....

  • Looks awesome!
  • Steering wheel looks like its coming along pretty nicely. cant wait to see it finished. What's your plan for the grip part of the wheel, another wrap like you took off of it?
  • simplyhondasimplyhonda Council Member
That looks great. I have been looking for a "woodie" for the wagon for a long time. I refuse to shell out $300 on ebay for one. So the search continues! Can't wait to see how yours turns out!

^^when i Wrap this wheel, it will be with leather... there is a place on line that offers a good looking leather wrap (around $55) that you sew on yourself??? anyways i will order one from them when im ready to install...

im not 100% set on putting this in the Fit, it was just a fun project, future EE wagon will get it...... that is if i dont find a way to put it in the Fit, semi-safely....

    all done

yes i noticed that too... at one point there some one must have replaced the horn button, and since they are directional, they purchased the wrong one...

Yup :D '73-'77 civic 1200 came with a 2 spoke, the '75-'79 cvcc and '78-'79 1200 have a 3 spoke, then there is the 3 spoke woodie that was optional on the cvcc, and ultra rare RS 2spoke woodie (also came on the '79 special X- canada only)

you need to find the woodie shift knob :)
