took out little siver wrapped foil ring from steerin wheel center
unwrapped the foil and the plastic was broken and is super brittle. its super glued back together, i plan to plastidip it and paint it... or just plasti dip it...
completely dismantled for clean up... im going to need to sand the metal part of the wheel due to a little bit of surface rust.... i hope to have this complete in the next couple days....
Steering wheel looks like its coming along pretty nicely. cant wait to see it finished. What's your plan for the grip part of the wheel, another wrap like you took off of it?
That looks great. I have been looking for a "woodie" for the wagon for a long time. I refuse to shell out $300 on ebay for one. So the search continues! Can't wait to see how yours turns out!
^^when i Wrap this wheel, it will be with leather... there is a place on line that offers a good looking leather wrap (around $55) that you sew on yourself??? anyways i will order one from them when im ready to install...
im not 100% set on putting this in the Fit, it was just a fun project, future EE wagon will get it...... that is if i dont find a way to put it in the Fit, semi-safely....
That wheel turned out GREAT man!!!! now u just need a wagon to put it in
just noticed one of the horn decals or whatever they are is upside down haha weird.

yes i noticed that too... at one point there some one must have replaced the horn button, and since they are directional, they purchased the wrong one...

yeah keep your eyes peeled... after a little research im pretty sure its from a 76 civic hatch...
Yup '73-'77 civic 1200 came with a 2 spoke, the '75-'79 cvcc and '78-'79 1200 have a 3 spoke, then there is the 3 spoke woodie that was optional on the cvcc, and ultra rare RS 2spoke woodie (also came on the '79 special X- canada only)
