i couldnt wait to have them pc'd, which i still plan to do, but i do not care for chrome, or polish or silver... anyways these things took all day, and are a pain in the ass to sand, they look simple but its a trick... Big thanks to piperotto for coming over and helping me sand and paint, not to mention giving me a ride in his Wagon; scared me a bit... but a good scare...
couldnt decide what to do with the caps, as the lettering "konig" is raised up, so instead of sanding it flat, left it, and painted- kind of giving an embossed look... i like it, hard to capture it with pictures- need a better lens....
snowboard attachments purchase off of craigs list...
newish snow tires purchase off of craigslist.... some crack-addict (assuming by the missing teeth and the affordable price) in spokane valley sold me what appear to be new tires on 88 accord rims (14")... i painted rims black... tires are huge/heavy tread/siped and like new.... its supposed to snow tomorrow... i am ready... lookout pass is open on Friday- gotta find a way to wiggle out of work!!!
Might check out that Civic sedan actually. I'm nearly convinced to just bight the bullet and finance something nicer/newer. Was originally looking for a 1st gen CRV, but there hasn't been jack around. Fixin to move back to the North side (trouble) the first of the year. So I'm not as hung on mileage as I've been post Jane. The X and the Chrysler I'm driving now have been murdering me.
if subarus are as cheap in spokane as they are over in the oly area you may want to look for a anally maintained 02-03 WRX or newer impreza for around the same price or cheaper then a A4
4th of july pass is in Idaho right? that's long drive to go boarding(i have 2 within an hour drive)... anyways the fit looks beastly with the snow tires

not too found of the Audi's... but Awd is very nice.... i searched for a crv 3 months ago, there is just nothing worth buying in spokane... if your going to spend that much or finance, i would go subaru really... i like subies, should be a plethora available...

lookout pass was scheduled to be 1:48 minutes away; but the drive home took about 4 hours due to traffic delays... i will drive anywhere to shred, no limits!
My background/support network is strong in VW/Audi. And I've always loved them, yet never owned (air cooled especially).
Find me the best Subaru you can for under $8-10k. There's not much at the moment. And we all know I'm picking the worst time possible to look.
I'm really angry at what turbo_teg found. I would love to find myself a GT. A wagon GT at that! There was a 5spd Legacy Outback I was thinking of checking out. But I'm not gonna look for it atm. I'm hoping to do some looking Mon/Tue. What are you up to this week? Might need some night sledding/drinking in the future!

that's priced about $750 higher then what i would pay.... ej18 + auto + AWD = gutless but still subaru(300+k) reliable and AWD
oh and by the way he's lying about 30mpg, my brother had a 93 ej18 auto AWD sedan and only got 25 hwy, better then a ej25 forester/legacy/outback but still pretty bad for how gutless it is
you may want to look for foresters, around here they are the cheapest because they're "ugly" (IMO they're the best looking scoobie) and '98 models had problems with the original head gaskets but they do have the most legroom out of any subaru i have sat in except the original style legacy.... i saw a manual(hard to find here) one on spokane CL.... IMO he's asking to much but it is low miles, 180k http://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/2686685766.html
also while having one too many gin and tonics i bought these on ebay... they are tiny covers for ebrake or something, i dont know what im going to do with them.... they were 4 dollars.

A little sun break during lunch time; not even ten minutes after this photo was taken; it began to just puke again!! awesome!
after riding all day
best dollar i've ever spent was on this window scrapper that everyone thinks is rediculous...
quick stop; the fit is fully loaded...
got stuck on 4th of July pass on the way home for over 2 hours; stop and go traffic, multiple slide offs, Semi's stuck, etc...
thank goodness for Ipod; and old skool gangster rap...
Might be stepping away from Honda if I don't find something SOON. ANYTHING 4wd...
the Fit is solid with its new snow tires! we were passing 4wd, subarus, trucks, everything- it was kind of embarassing....
go get this now and put some winter tires on it!! and i will buy it from you this summer
