Auto = Nice Daily Driver
i was after a white one specifically, thats how i ended up with AUTO...
its nice. its quick and peppy... handles insain compared to the Element...
too much probably...
but im just researching parts and info on them right now... there is soooo much to go through... edm/ukdm/usdm/jdm and then finding authentic parts- not ebay remakes; there is just soooo much aftermarket support for the FIT, i dont think i've ever owned a car with such a huge following....
ps- that wagon was a POS, but I still might buy it...
o i realllllllllllllly reaaaaaallllly might paint them... seriously... lols...
but you can buy them before i get out of control....
Lol yeah i was thinkin the same
give me tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime to realize my crime.... let me love and steal.... do you really want to hurt me....
i have a vbp gd3 myself. they are a very stout chassis design.
ive joined... and just been reading around... are you on there?
(I'll go halves on gas...)
if not, no worries. congrats.
I'd always thought a silver or white 1st gen Fit with headlights from a black or dark grey Fit (so the housing is black or dark grey durrr!) would be pretty titts. I'm sure it's been done a lot, but I thought about it when the Fits first came out.
I too have an auto tragic with the paddles, and honestly they're pretty nifty. You'll be shocked at how the transmission downshifts/engine brakes aggressively under hard braking even when in full auto/not "S" mode. Well my GE Fit does that, but I'm guessing the GD does too?
If I didn't have the Wago and '92 hatch to drive I'd be modding my Fit too, but it's likely staying 100% stock. It might end up as my wife's DD if we decide to sell her Element, so lowering the Fit now would not make sense.
We do have tons of options, especially you having a 1st gen Fit. If I had a 1st gen it'd be really, really hard to not boost it or K swap that ho. There's a few boosted auto Fits that the owners have said to think the tranny holds up well with it.
where is it??? i will be moving into a new apartment around that time, so i probably wont be able to do much...
yeah auto with paddle shift... im enjoing it
headlight housing- it was one of the first things i thought of, but after doing research and looking around, EVERYONE as swapped out their headlights for black ones, so im thinking im gonna keep them white- but you never know; if a pair of black ones popped up for cheap, it'd be hard for me to resist... or red or blue or some silly color- i'd probably do that...
its really quick for being an auto and small car... i cant explain how rigid it is- i dont know if its just that i havent been in a smaller car for a long time or if its a stiff chassis.... i dunno- but handles like its on rails..... better than i remember my wagon handling and i had done a lot to get the wagon to handle like it did...
as for the element; i was sick of the Element. it was just getting those high miles, where it seemed every three months- i had to fix or replace something... i had done everything i wanted to do to it... a set of low offset wheels would have been rad but no big deal... someone recently scraped/dented the living shit out of the rear driverside door, that really bothered me... id say for you; you may have one too many cars... but Element wouldnt be my first sell if i were you...
looks phresh...
...and you have PM.
I can just see you "Billboarding" the headlight housings, front lip, and getting some Diamond steelies or some shit.
camo would be cool for a day or so then i think i would hate it...
i HATE diamond steelies... not hate- but its just kinda ghetto... ghetto and billboard styling may overlap at times, but i like to think im a tad bit classier than that... lols...
but i suppose i did my first "mod" if you will...
i took some decent pix of the fit while i was at it...
camo inside the lights would look sick, thats a good idea. havent seen that before. if not camo, maybe something like the woodgrain i had done to my valvecover. that guy has prints for days. skulls, camos, woodgrains, snakeskin etc. His site: http://www.h2ographx.com/patterns.php?ptrn=camo
i know your swaying aginst black housing headlights, but it would look pretty good. especially if you went the route you went with so many ef's by putting more black on the cars. maybe blackout the lipkit, doorhandles, emblems, wing, etc. Every fit I see is always all colormatched, billboard style would dictate the opposite of that (to me anyway). I guess a lot will depend what wheels you end up with too. either way, always look forward to the cars you choose getting billboarded, lol.
and x2 in the diamond wheels. i was sick of those when only the vw guys were using them.
Gotta put it down for the 509, son
LOL
Its a friend of mines clothing company he started Wapparel... sick style for sure...
Problem is he can't keep anything in stock... I guess that's a good problem to have...
But when yout trying to start a business its hard to get the word out when u have
Nothing left in stock to offer...
I think its wapparel.com... peep it if you get bored...
I guess I should update my location... and I'm 208 fo life...
really popular mods are blacked out headlights or just simply switching them with a nhbp fit headlights.
also painting the fog light covers black.
i cant guarantee anything...
i took the Fit on its first snowboard trip this weekend to Silver Mountain.
Epic time... loaded up- no roof rack yet... had to throw everything in the back...
rowdy crew...
when i came back down the mountain someone left bottle rockets on my windshield...
random but awesome...
