Info on Panhard Mounts

My apologies - newbie here -
I should have posted my question in this section - so here it is -
I have learned that my panhard mount is torn on both sides. When I bought my sweet Wagovan( yes it is a Wagovan - emblem says so on back of car) I think the panhard mount was cracked at that time.
Was courious if it was a structural defect in the car or if the previous two owners had pushed the car too hard.
In the process of havingit looked at and perhaps a new monut refabed out out of heavier metal. Thanks and have a great day !!!

  • Just wanted to share that I located a great welder who ground off the torn parts and refabed one out of thicker metal plating -
So glad as I love my Wagovan and now she is good to go for many more miles!!!! :D

    Isn't a panhard rod/mount for a car with a live rear axle?

The 3rd gens. have a straight rear axle.
