15x9 et36 fitment

i have been researching the WWW for a bit now, on whether a 15x9 et36 wheel will clear in a 4th gen chassis.

mostly, whether or not it would rub against the UCA. i cant really find an answer so...

anybody ever run anything like this? for reference, here are a couple photos of an EF with 15x9s up front (15x8 et36 rears). i cannot tell if he had any issues, he doesnt say but some people with EG and up say that there might be clearance issues with the UCA, requiring spacers.

He definitely has to be using a spacer up front. I have the same wheels and you have to use at least a 5mm spacer or something like that. Right now, I have 10mm spacers that I'm going to use.

Unless hes running SiR spindals. I run 16x8 w/40 offset on my white hatch with no issues, but any other DA or EF spindal (my other cars), I have to use a 1/4" (ish) spacer with this wheel/tire combo.

Tires are either 215-40-16 v710's, or 205-45-16 R6's. Cant remember which tires, but the Hoosiers were almost a half inch wider than the Kuhmos and fit with no problems.

did you have to run spacers in the rear? doesnt seem like there would be need..

I ran 17x9 on the front of my Wagon for autocross. They were 32mm offset. I also ran 15x8.5 on the front of my old EF hatch with 38.1mm offset and had no clearance issues at the knuckle. I will have a pair of 15x8 and a pair of 15x9 949 6ULs 36mm offset in the next week or so and I'll bolt them up and take pics just for you.

By the way, the 15x8s will be for sale. They're nickel finish. I ordered a pair of 15x10s to go with the 15x9s.

Nope no need, and it seems like youll hit the trailing arm well before you hit the uca. Next time I have them on the car, Ill get a pic or at least give it a good look. On Maui right now, but Im getting those 16x8's mounted up with street tires when I get home early next week.

I have 15x8s on my wagon 35mm offset running 205/50s with no clearance issues. I know this wasn't your main question to begin with but I hope it helps.

So the 6UL 15 x 7.5 et36 would clear the guards on a wagon easily?

Sorry man, turns out I won't have these wheels till the end of June. I'll check back then to see if you're still looking for feedback.
  • What lowering springs or coil overs are you using?
  • These are the 15x8 6UL with 205/50-15 tires

I tried a friend's set of 15x9 on my CRX, and they will not fit in the rear without a spacer as the tire hits the RTA. I don't remember about the front, but I do know the 15x8 has the same offset, so that means there is more wheel inward on the 15x9.
