D16a6 coolant eng drain plug

where is the eng drain plug on the front of the car? I have an eng block heater and am wondering if that is the drain plug they are talking about? If that is the one, is there anything i have to replace to make it seal again, oring? compression washer? thanks!!!

the blockheater is just left to the center line of the eng.

That heater appears to be screwed into the drain. I'm not sure what kind of seal that uses, I've never taken one out.

It's not tapered thread. The OEM drain plug uses an aluminum crush washer just like the oil drain plug in the oil pan (albeit a much larger diameter). Who knows what the block heater uses, but I'd guess maybe a rubber o-ring?

i ended up just leaving it in and mixing the coolant heavy to make up for the tap water surrounding the cylinders. there is so much junk (some sort of thread sealer) all over the plug i didn't' want to take the chance of it not sealing up again. thanks guys!!!!!
