Tranny fluid filler tool?

Is there an easy way to fill the tranny fluid? I've got a 90 5sp and it's a bitch to get the bolt off, let alone put more oil in. Is there a tool to make this easier or a crazy/amazing method I've missed on my last few searches? I'm thinking of a couple DIY tools in my head and if there isn't anything currently available, I'll probably just go that route and see what happens.

Thanks!

I have a funnel with a long hose on it that works well.

    Other easy options:
Siphon gun (about $15, like a 1 quart syringe)
A pump like you see at auto parts places. Resemmbles a hand cleaner or lotion pump with a hose on.

Go to any auto parts store and get the hose that screws onto a quart of oil with a valve in it.... or a long hose and a funnel whichever u prefer.
  • I'll check it out. I replaced my right hand side CV joint/axle and a bunch leaked out, figured it would be a good time to empty it and replace it since I haven't done it since I've owned the car. I saw the honda shit was the way to go, so I'll grab it and make it happen. Thanks guys!

Go to neighbours hose and "borrow" a small length of garden hose, go to friends house and "borrow" a funnel from the kitchen*.
Push hose over the end of the funnel and you have a tool.

*dont steal them, return after you have used them, the owners will appreciate this  dont use your own stuff it will get all oily

There's also a smaller pump that fits the quart oil bottles. I use one to fill marine gearcases.

get a pump that screws onto a quart bottle at any local auto store. plan on some arm pump.
  • I'll check into one of the pumps, that makes sense
