91 RT4WD!!!!

I havent purchased this , wanted opinons before hand.

91 RT4WD
As you can see, its need some Work here and there. Im more worried about the Rust on the Rear panel and on the Rear under where it says CIVIC. I know i will need a new Door panel as well. Also, if you look at the Driver side of the Dash on the corner, is that sunlight or a big ass tear/hole in it? What do you guys think. Would be getting it for $1500 and have to fly and drive the car 10 hours back....Dont know what to think about this one or just keep on looking. As you can see, theres SNOW so that means the under carriage could be shot to hell and rusted like a MO FO

Would it be worth it to try and revive this beast :)

i really hope they had more pics than that. there are no pics of the driver side of the car. personally, i wouldnt. rust is a bitch to remove and replace. do you reallty want to go thru all that?

    ummmmm- rescue that wagon....!!! :D
  • Honestly, it looks beat, especially for $1500. I paid $400 for mine and it just needed cleaning up.
  • I don't think it is worth 1500 bucks. I paid (after conversion) about 1400 for my Red one and the only thing wrong with it is the front fender was a little dinged up and the engine bay was no where near as dirty as that thing. I got the white one for about 500 bucks but it had rust. However the guy fixed it all up before I purchased it. Especially having to fly too and then drive back I don't think I would go through the trouble. Plus if you get there and the car is worse off then the pictures tell.

    That is definitely a tear...

Plus the passenger mirror is not OEM...

I would ask for pictures of all the wheel wells and the undercarriage before making a decision.

Who knows, you may be pleasantly surprised.

    Good luck man !!

Dude, I pulled over old folks for 5 years to ask if they would be willing to sell thier car. Not one person was willing to sell. "I love this car, Id never sell it" Looking over at the odometer 297k on the ticker.....

I finally found one at a local dealer and talked them down from 2200 to 1350. Its got rust in the rear quarters, tears in the interior etc, but Im still glad I picked it up. I basically just wanted a tester for if the b-series stuff was even gonna be possible and didnt care if there were imperfections. Now Im on the hunt for a cleaner platform, and I know that I will be looking for a l-o-n-g time.

I still ask people and leave notes. Nobodys ever willing to let these cars go.

That car isnt that bad off, and if they are as rare where you are as they are where I am, you might think twice about it.
  • offer him less?
  • Shenrie has a point but I just couldn't see flying out to look at a car that might be worse or better than pictures say then to drive a car 10 hours back that you don't know. I myself would spend the extra you would save on the plane ticket and get something a few hours closer that might be more expensive.
