No mod cupholder

i know theres all kinds of options for cupholders in our cars, but i didnt wanna cut anything or mod anything to keep the original look, so i found this at bed, bath and beyond, called the pod, and its made to clamp on to shopping carts, baby strollers, etc, i attached it to my seatbelt buckle, which seems pretty sturdy, and i dunno about you guys, but i am guilty of not using the lap belt with the power belts.. so i will not be responsible if you get a ticket or something for it.. hopefully in a few days i will be able to test it out

mocked up a little bracket. It's bolted where the seatbelt used to bolt to the floor (seat swap w/ seatbealt attached to seat. There are some small shadows in the pic that make it look like crap. in person it doesn't look half bad. Will look fairly decent with some cleanup work and a coat of paint.

man... having some cupholders sure is nice!

*****looking at these pictures make me realize how damn dirty my wagon has gotten. Having the kids home from school during the summer takes it's toll on my stuff!

here's a modded cupholder I put together yesterday.. loose the clock and gain cupholders :) I need to finish sanding it and installing the airvents..
I used a holder from a toyota corolla. Works great for angled cups. I'm going to go for another one with bottom support :)

I think anything that blocks an A/C vent is a non-starter, lol!
  • Went to the local Bed Bath and Beyond and they didn't have these in stock, or even listed on their site (according to boy-genius who worked there).

Of course, I just found it on their website. Local store doesn't have them though.

I'm going to put in an order for 2 of these. One for my car and one for my kid!
  • Maybe your store ran out cuz of all the auto belt Honda guys buying them up, mines is still working great and I gotta buy one for my gfs 91 civic sedan one of these days
  • I ordered 2 of them last night, they were listed as at some stores and not others. I don't mind paying the $6 for shipping. I want 1, and I figured since I was paying the shipping regardless I bought one for the kid when he gets old enough to use it (due Jan 26th).

I'm pretty damn excited to get it, because I absolutely hate not having a cup holder in the wagon. Its my DD when I am in town so I am always driving it.

My truck on the other hand (that I use primarily for work) has, no joke, 4 cup holders within reach of the driver seat. The back has 4 more too for the passengers back there if you fold down the rear center console (crew cab). That's one thing that has always bothered me about every honda I've owned - the cupholders, or lackthereof.

And why wouldn't a dude go to Bed Bath and Beyond - My house was hooked up when I was single thanks to them. I always had nice shit and the ladies loved it. Throw down $300 on high quality bedding and women want to sleep in it that much more!
