Stg. 2 Crower cam. Should I degree my cam?

I'm at the point where I have the long block together, and am about to start on timing.

I saw this thread http://www.d-series.org/forums/diy-foru ... r-cam.html, and it seems like something that I should probably do. Thoughts? I know nothing about this at all, so it will be -another- learning experience during this build.

  • Never mind. I've decided to have King do my full tune and break in on their dyno. They should be able to take care of all this for me.

I'd be very interested in knowing if the cam is close to being zero'd with the cam gear straight up. I have the same cam, and someone suggested that maybe my massive boost issues are related to the cam not being properly degreed.

Say Hi to Scott Zellner for me.
  • I'm planning on calling Crower tomorrow just to see what they say about how the cam sits at standard TDC settings, or if they have had any feedback from other customers. I'll say hi to Scott for you.
