Bought a 2011 Fit Sport to *Replace* My Wagon as a DD

...only thing is I didn't say I got rid of the wagon. Just saying the Fit is replacing the wagon on the depth chart as the default daily driver.
Hello, Fit - meet your Daddy:
Three is not a crowd...
5.1 liters of Honda fury:
Some extra Fit pics:
Note the paddle shifters:
So I am liking the Fit more each time I drive it. It's certainly not fast, but it really does handle exceptionally well, especially for a stock lowest-model in the Honda line-up. It's a super stiff, super solid car. Doors shut with a affirmative, reassuring sound. Stock stero is pretty bad-ass, and has a USB interface, WMA/MP3 playback, aux. jack, and a 160 watt, 6 speaker system.
I absolutely raped the shit out of the Fit I test drove, so I literally redlined it a lot, slammed on brakes while swerving to check out the ABS/EBD/VSA, and it's pretty solid shit.
In "S" mode the auto transmission will not shift until you tell it to by clicking the right paddle/upshift paddle. Clicking the downshift paddle a few times when approaching a sharp corner is a pretty surreal feeling - like playing Forza with the MS steering wheel. The shifters are solid, with a nice stiff "click" when you click them.
The wagon would still absoltely smash the Fit in a dragrace, and with modified suspension and brakes the wagon still has the overall performance edge...BUT! The fit is shockingly sure-footed, and the quick ratio electronic steering rack (think NSX, S2K, Civic Si, etc.) combined with the factory leather wrapped steering wheel can single handedly win you over during a test drive.
For those of you wondering about the future of the wagon:
We're keeping it...for now. If finances stay as they are there's no reason to sell the wagon. However, if work gets slow, or something comes up that requires a reshuffle, then the wagon will be the first to go. We got the fit at dead cost, which turned out to be a great deal, but with zero down we couldn't sell it and MAKE money. The Fit was also financed at just .9%APR so the Fit loan is the last loan we'd need to try and pay down. With some old student loans, some credit card bills, and even our house note all being above .9% interest we'd throw down the wagon sales proceeds towards those bills rather than the Fit loan.
We'll see how I divide my driving of the three cars...not to mention my wife still has the 2005 Element in the mix!!!
EDIT!
Waxed every square inch of the Fit with my favorite wax, Dupont/3M Teflon wax, then took a few pics in the sun to show off the crazy silver:
Fog lights and rear spoiler (as well as underbody aero pieces) are all standard equip for the Sport model:
What fucking huge eyes you have!
The silver, Alabaster Silver Metallic, is probably one of my favorite silvers I've seen in person, even topping my 1992's Vogue Silver. I like how it does not have any other colored flake in it, or tinted pearl. Vogue is nice, but it's got some blue pearl in it.

The lost motion recall 11-010 only applies to 09-10 Fits. My dealership has been doing a ton of them lately.
Well this Fit contradicts a lot of my usual opinions.
- I'm not a fan of buying brand new cars
- I'm not a fan of new Hondas when compared to old Hondas
- I'm not a fan of automatics
The thing is we got the car at cost, got it at .9% interest, and since I had a feeling my wife would like to drive it (giving me a valid reason to HAVE to drive the wagon or EG) I decided to go automatic. The Fit seems to have more "soul" or "that old Honda feeling" than most other new Hondas I've driven. The steering really is absolutely amazing. Even at stock ride height, on stock tires, this thing handles really, really well. The controls for climate control, audio, and of course the paddle shifters, are all intuitive and easy to reach like Hondas used to be. I didn't opt for Navi because it's that much more counter intuitive crap to break down the road.
Trust me if I want truly "sporty" I'll hop in the EG or wagon, not a 1.5L 2500lb. Fit. Might as well have a completely "comfy" car to just sit down and go numb if so desired. Yeah the auto is probably a few ticks slower/less responsive than the 5-speed, but again this Fit wasn't about having a fast DD.
I must admit to all of you, my wagon brothers, that I've been having panic attacks and haven't slept well since buying the Fit. Call it "buyer's remorse" or just freaking the fuck out over signing on for 60 months worth of payments, but I have been extremely happy on some fronts while also being more stressed out than I have been in years about the payments.
It's not that we cannot afford the Fit necessarily. We both make a good deal more money than we did back in 2005 when we bought our Element brand new, but there's something kind of eerie signing back up for long haul car notes.
My wife (the family accountant) has assured me that she would not have been so for the Fit purchase had we not been able to comfortably afford the notes. She redid the finances based on my potential absolute worst paychecks and said we're still fine. My wife has told me tonight that if it came down to it she'd be fine with selling our Element and taking the Fit to drive (another reason deep down for getting an automatic) if we ever felt "trapped" by bills. The Element could be sold for around 10K or so, but it too is just too perfect a vehicle! It's low mileage (82K), reliable, safer than the Fit overall, and has even more cargo room.
I still cannot shake the guilt associated with me driving a brand new car when my wagon is still THE perfect daily driver.
I cannot imagine how horrible I'd have felt had I sold the wagon to buy the Fit. It's a "mixed" bag still having the wagon though. While I am certainly glad I've still got the wagon, I feel torn about splitting driving time amongst three cars by myself, lol.
Sorry for the outpouring of information. I've just got to get this stuff off my chest though.
