New swap runs like crap under 2k RPM

okay im killin myself on this issue. just got my d16z6 in my wagon last weekend and its acting strange. when i take off normally the car wants to just fall on its face unless i put my foot to the floor. above about 3 grand it runs great. ive timed it, changed the fuel filter, filled up the tank that had about an 1/8 of 4 year old gas in it, and done the cap and rotor and it still acts up..... My next guess is gunna be new plugs, swap out the coil and igniter for my spares, and see what happens..... any insight would be nice feel free.

    Be warned, if this brakes down while we're in Seattle, I'll have someone else give me a ride back to your house to get my car LOL

    Also, you filled up with all that dirty gas? I'm sure she's pissed about that too haha

    Im with u charb. Gosh no new plugs. For sure do that. Check grounds and maybe add more. So many problems iv had with bad grounds

    Take the distributor cap off and see of there is water inside. If there is, wipe and blow dry, clean the contacts and reinstall. I had a similar problem after I degreaser and power wShes the engine. Misfired and bogged below 2k rpms, anything after that it ran like a champ. Sure enough there was a little bit of water inside the cap...

    So i changed the plugs and it still ran like crap.... But i did find the problem.... I feel like a goof... the B&M fuel regulator was set at about 5lbs of presure i figure..... i hooked up my wide band and it was running hella lean so i adjusted it and she runs like a champ!

    yeah thank god ive been beatin my head against the wall..... just got a few lil things here and there and she will be ready for the meet.
