My car gets ripped off again

I find this one hard to believe. I went to check my oil today since it has been about 3 months, and my oil filler cap is missing. Some guy took it and stuffed a rag in the hole. I checked online, and you can buy these things for 2 or 3 dollars. I can't believe someone took the risk and the trouble to steal this thing. When they took my outside mirror, it was more understandable, they are hard to find. But an oil cap? I'd like to catch the douche bag trying something like that again. At least he stuffed a rag in the hole so I didn't run out of oil.

so let me get this straight,he broke in popped the hood and took the oil cap?
  • A courteous thief! Maybe he left a few bucks for the trouble!
  • Sounds like another wagon owner is using your car for parts.

Not exactly. He didn't have to pop the hood. My hood won't latch, so I secure it with a belt in front. He took the belt off, removed the cap, stuffed the rag in the hole, closed the hood, and replaced the belt. :?: On a city street.
