1991 RT4WD - GSR/CRV (Nebraska)
akaFLiP25
New Wagonist
To start things off.....
Newest project i picked up last week.
Make: Honda
Model: Civic Wagon RT4WD
Powerplant: GSR Swap B18C1 Hasport mounts
Trans: CRV transmission =D
Suspension: stock (for now)
Shoes: Rota RB 13x8 +4 offset wrapped in Kumho V710s (215/50/r13)
And did i mention shes an original RT4 with a prestinnnnne body, no rust at all.
I am fairly new to the wagon crew, but i bought my first wagovan last year, never did much to her. I have an auto collision degree and said she was too much rust to fix. So she kind of just sat in the drive for the last year.
About 2-3 weeks ago, a friend of mine posted a link to this wagon out in Denver as a joke, turns out i really wanted this wagon. Gave Grey a call the next day and planned a trip in 6 days. Got off at 5AM saturday morning, picked up a trailer, grabbed a few buddies and we were on the road for 10 hours. Now, pictures. lmk what you guys think..
the friends' Hondas
buddy that we stayed with's Hondas
This is what i drove 10 hours for.
Made my day. =D cheeesin
Got her home and had to have a photo op of my two wagons. hah
Threw the autox wheels on. ung

Just been running into some problems with this swap and not enough out there to make it clear, hopefully be drivin her this week.
the header wont bolt up becuase it runs into the crv tranny.. so i picked up some ITR replica 4n1's and just gonna cut it and weld some pipe to get around it... simple.
but the real problem is the driveshaft... idk if its too long or if i have to modify to fit
There's more than one
And do you have the link to any of their build threads?

There's also a guy with a turbo B that he's trying to sort out. Just look through the Engine sub forum.
The crv dl is too long. I ended up not being able to afford a real one, so I cut mine (long of course, and make a mark so you know exactly where to reweld it back up so it stays somewhat balanced) then had one end bumped up at a exhaust shop and slip fitted the end over the other and welded it up. Autoxed the car for 4 seasons with no issues.
Still runnin into some header problems.. thinkin bout pickin up a OBX b20 header for her. so possibly this week.
Shes sittin on stands right now, got the oil changed and the vtech hooked up.
Shes almost driving now
im picking up a header tomorrow for AKAFlip
but yes, she IS a beast alright
Installed the stock B20 header to fit around the CRV trans..
^^Like a glove^^
Removed the stupid mirror tint.
Drove her for the first time yesterday (April 8.) to the storage garage, got the exhaust hooked up.
go fastt ^
Stock as in wagon diff? If so, you should probably locate a crv diff. They are geared differently. The flanges are also different between the crv and the wagon. Just a heads up man.
Props on gettin it going though. Wait till you get the awd stuff working. Its a total blast, especially in the winter.
Oh, and good thinking on the crv exhaust mani, I never thought of that when i did my swap.
The flange issue does need to be addressed though. You could simply make an aluminum adapter. That's what I have on my setup. My driveshaft has north american iron u-joints on it, and 2 aluminum adaters to allow it to bolt up to the transfer case and the rear diff.
any pics of this?
