if the a24a is from a car that has a different mount design, such as an EG or EK, then it will not work without custom mounts.

if it were my car, i would just put my original tranny on the new motor.

In so few words. Search user wago_dan he's the only one I know that has done this. But can't remember if it was in his build thread, or another thread where he talked about it. Just search his posts...

Ease up, man, we just don't know.
Nobody I know has kept an auto. As Charb said, dan comes to mind. Your questions have been answered, I think:

Use the p28 ECU for your OBD1 sOHC VTEC.

    Keep the OE trans.

I don't want to belittle the tech knowledge on here, but maybe ask on dseries.org or hondaswap? Or find a 5speed!

I did research, research and more research.
Also in our pm's you did not mention that it was a zc...
In all honesty all I did was take basic wiring theory, pinouts of the p28 and stock ecu and connected the dots. It was very easy. Everything I had hard copy is in storage somewhere. Wish I could be of more help, but even the wagon is state side.

Please do post what you find and how you fix it. Add to the knowledge base, and next time we get this question we can point to your car.

    Good luck!

Really your leaving our "Comfy" area of knowledge so I agree with sharing the knowledge as you go so we can learn a little. I was debating building an auto but haven't had a chance yet.

ok everything is a go except for the trans part, i kept the oe trans which is obdo, but i'm running the p28 ecu and it doesn't shift...... so how and in the heck does a obd1 ecu control and obdo transmission.... im about to go insane HELP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
