2 low/ 1st gear slipping

ok not really familiar with the 2 low gear? is it 1st or what? well anyway. whenever i put it into 2 low gear and floor it you can feel it not catching so i just let up on the gas. this isnt a major problem because i dont usually drive in 2 low or even floor it. but it does slip in any other gear.
