im going to be putting 18x7.5 rims on my wago and was wondering if 215/45/18 tire will work???

    Thats a realy tall tire for that size rim. Ive been doing custom wheels and tires for a long time and I would suggest that to any of my custumers.

    with the 15s i would recomend 205/55/15's

    Keep in mind wider does NOT mean more grip, in the situation of 255's you would eperience extreme tramlining, horrible road noise and increased fuel consumption. 205 as Turbo_teg said.

    so what do you think about the hankooks??? cheap and they are only 205/50/15... but you can't really beat $46 a tire can you???

    I have some on my S13 and they are terrible in even the slightest of wet weather. Granted I don't have 4wd or Fwd and the car is turbocharged with some aftermarket support but the rear end does tend to let loose way more then my previous set of tires. On onc of these tight exit ramps going 30kmh the rear end really likes to slide. Since it rains quite a bit here in Germany it isn't a great tire for here. When it is dry the tires are great so take that into consideration. I got the tires in a package deal so picking others wasn't an option.

    255?? what is this a corvette? go outside and take a good look at your car again.
    this thing is an old econbox from Japan..not some detroit muscule.

    The 205/40 hankooks on my 16x7's are huge as is. You shouldn't need a wider contact patch than that with a econobox, and it's going to be tough to fit much wider in there without rolling the fenders if you're lowered.


    The supra, however, needs 255/45's in front and 315/40's out back :shock: My wallet screams in pain every time I need tires.

    Not true. I have 225-40-16's on my car with a 7.5 wheel. Dumped with no rolling on the fenders and I have 1/4" spacers on the back.

    I think theres room for 16x8.5's as well. Just havent had the jing to try it. Not many companys make a wheel that size that I could afford, but should the day come.....TE37's. The problem is, the next tire size up is a 245 width and while I think I have room for a tire that wide, I dont have the height to go along with it

    i think im going to use the hankooks for regular street tires and go with something a little more sticker for track tires and a nice set of 15 lightweight rims...
