Very good looking wagon, swapped, turbo'd, white rally style looking wheels AND with semi-slicks on it. So cool... great work, I can only hope my wagon looks half as good when it is done.
i dont know how to work with carbon fiber *though i could learn* but i still need to learn the molding process. the reason for wanting to make a full fiberglass front end is because i didnt want to put this front end on my car which is quite heavy from the foam, flares, spackle, fiberglass and bondo. i want to finalize a front end for myself first for thinking about making it for others. if i doing carbon fiber right off the bay, i'd be molding hoods haha.
heres my suspension setup for the rears.

got the brakes bleed. still needs a brake in. i hear this noise like i didnt mill the bracket enough or something. but it does stop A Lot better. took both cars off the driveway to wash the driveway and call it a day.
gone through a lot of things this month. theres still a ton more things to do. Racing is this upcoming weekend then the Chronicles Year 6 which is going to be another 600+ miles round trip drive.
first off. did an alignment after getting back from my 1 week vacation. dick messed up my brand new skunk front camber. my alignment was just completely off in all corners. paid the dude only half cause of that. twick.. then went to a meet some distances away from my home. had a blast. best part of my day!? Took home a trophy for Best Import! Also Got some Beautiful ladies to shoot with my car!
BONUS
Then in the last post, i traded my Regamasters for 3 days with my buddy for his TE37s. 16s 205/55/16 Re-11 (fatty but drove great!)
after that, off to another show i go! District 10 Breast caner awareness show. From there! i took Home Best Hatchback! that amazing feeling.. 2 weeks of show, 2 trophy goes home!
chillen with my buddies venders booth.
<3<3<3<3<3
from the show, i headed to my buddies shop where he installed my new inner and outer tie rods + boots and hopped on the alignment rack right after that. feels sooo much better except it seems like my rack itself is bad inside with the gears or something. thats going to be a tough one to source.
rear camber
seems that i need rear toe arms he said so i got myself some wicked tuning rear toe arms and will go back soon for another alignment. in the end, the car drives very straight! i love it. then hit another show this past sunday locally at InspireUSA. nice and relaxed.
found out my car has ignition issues so i had to get that squared away with so i could race the car this next weekend. ordered an ICM delete, crane coil, summit racing ignition box, msd cap and wire. soon to put this in on thursday because we are out friday night!
fixed my damn caster finally! no more tire eating bumper problems! So last but not least! the slicks fit perfect with this height and i am sure ready for the 1320!
shipping out some visors here. we sold out the first shipment and the second shipment coming in soon will have the black and half of it being the purple tinted one i chose out. close to oem as possible right?
started repairing the chargespeed wing i made awhile back. this wing was originally on the brown RT but i removed it, repaired it and paint matched it. Cement gray with some wack ass clear. shit didnt wet out at all!!!
4 coats base
4 coats clear
didnt have the time to cut and buff before leaving so ill be doing that soon. heres some other wings i made.
im digging it.
i took my car to track. ran like shit. fuel problems having me cut at 6500 rpm so it really didnt go down the track. with me driving it and everyone else on the trailer, i cannot risk blowing it up. so the next day, i just threw it into the car show! Took home best Honda!! YES! will going in for a retune then hit another TNT.
find this in my dizzy too before the hotel. broken piece wedged in the dizzy
this month so far. 3 weeks of shows, 3 tropies acheived!
took the car to the Chronicles Year6. 902 miles round trip and i think the car did great. although i drove half way with no window wipers in the heavy rain haha. but i made it.
dyno'd the car that monday prior to the weekend for partial throttle for gas miles. no numbers really on the dyno.
after year6 on Sat, sunday was an ef vs da meet and so we hit that too before i drove the final 500 miles back home. i think we went pretty hard with the wagons. NorCals X SoCals WeekendPlayerz Collab
I haven't posted in a long time, or owned a wagon in a long time but I pop on from time to time to check out the scene and see what interesting things people are up to.
I ready every line of every page of this thread. It's blown me away. I am in awe.
thank you. long story short. i had an interested buyer for my engine and dude wanted videos and a few things fixed. so i did the video which lend to finding broken studs. bought new ARP studs. extract and replace. then a leak down then a compression test. dude flakes. i then find my manifold flange warped and its probably the cause of the studs breaking before and now with the help of vibration. so getting that resurface even.
heres all the pix i snapped through my frustration.
new ARP hardware in 1.75 length. 10mm 12pt nuts and washer.
2 are welded and extracted. 2 are using bits and 1 was double 12mm nuts
havent really done anything to the car. these photos are the day after the stud removal ^ the car is running great again. had the flange of the manifold resurfaced as i did a straigh edge measure and it was like .8mm which was way off of spec.
I still do not fully get it. Why do people after getting everything done, go out and almost immediately sell the engine/car? I myself am in progress to get the wagon done, and I hope the same thing will not happen to me. But darn, this is one of the best builds of civic wagon I have seen. Great job, sucks that you are getting rid of it.
That's just how some people are, not me. I'd get another car and build it up. But I can understand that people love working on it, getting it cool then when it's the way they want it, they are ready to move on to another project. The majority of the enjoyment for them seems to be in the build itself.
those washers on the exhaust mainfold was a good call.
really like your whip im over in the east bay area id be out at these shows if i had my license back itd be cool to check your wagon out i been watching the build great work and attention to detail!
its only the engine that i am selling. im going back to NA. ive had this motor for 3 years and its been a blast. rather sell it completely healthy and running then to blow it up hitting up the track. back to NA would keep me from worrying about things that keeps breaking or other problems.
im usually not one to keep doing random things to my car when its in its finished mind set state. but there were several reasons why i am doing the part out on just the engine setup.
its still completely running in my car currently so the part out didnt really start (too many window shoppers and flakes)
nothing new really. motor didnt sell due to a lot of flakers and low ballers. the car just sat since the last update. but i had the chance to take it out to the track this past sunday. i figure i could squeeze some fun out of it before my registration goes out.
the car ran great. i drove the night before to the hotel. and in the morning i drove to the track. it was misty in the morning so they only ran the 1/8th mile. i ran an 8.6 with a 1.9 60ft on a shitty prepped track.
second run was the 1/4th mile. it did a 14.1 with a 1.9 60ft. on 3rd gear the car got hot going down the track and it shut off on me.
3rd run i ran a 14.2 with a 1.9 as well. completely missed third gear.
4th run i ran a 13.2 @ 103mph with a 1.8 60ft. hit all the gears but the problem with all these times and run was my left hand shifting. never had a real seat time shifting in a RHD car. so it was a bit complicated. with me baby'n each gear i fell out of boost and vtec each time and you can hear it in the video (which im putting together) the stock LS trans with open diff didnt help with that either. i know the car could do A LOT better but this was actually the first time the car gets to do a full pass on the track. so im pretty satisfied. on top of that. i had full interior and my tools in the car. haha. drove home without a hiccup. on to the pictures.
if you follow me in Instagram , EFnStatic, you've already seen a few of these pictures.
thanks Sayurasem, the wing is, it came to me about november last year and it was off a little. so i had it sent back to fix so i can make sure its 100% before them mass produce them. so far i havent heard anything.
as you wish sir! the picture above was about 2 weeks ago when i cleaned it for its implant! the car has been sitting and has been heartless since early Feb when i pulled the engine out for my crx. it had no tags or registration. Eibach2015 meet was coming up fast and i wanted to be down there (6hours away) my whole car club was going to be there and we wanted to make sure our wagon lineup was strong. So i fought to have my car ready for it. a friend of mine upgraded his crx with a b18a1 and he has a replacement single came ZC engine he wanted to get rid of. so for $300 i bought it. i pulled it and he gave me pretty much everything needed with it. ECu, axles, mounts, radiator, complete engine, harness, exhaust, cat, shift linkage. the whole 9.
i kept this under the knife as i did with my crx build but now that eibach is over and plenty and i mean plenty of people saw my car there, i figured it time for the update here.
after getting the engine to my house, i started buying a few parts here and there. paid my registration and just needed smog to get my tags. cleaned the engine with "super Clean" purple bottle and i must it works really well! here i started with cleaning all the parts.
sold the si trans to a friend of mine who needed it, i bought a ZC LSD for the car incase...just incase i turbo it. hahaha!
now here we go with the installation with the classic underneath technique.
had to squeeze in the fuel line tuck due to the line already having a -6 on it. summitracing FTW
big WTF here lmao. had this changed out along with the valve cover gasket..horrible..
new sensor
Converted the Engine over to obd1 using the stock PO6 ECU, obd1 injector, obd1 d15b7 dizzy and the 4 wire o2 sensor. on a Rywire Tucked harness. all form the 92-95 civic DX. car didnt turn on for a week or so. had fuel had compression and spark..made no sense. bought a new battery and another dizzy and plugs then the car finally fired up Late Friday night. (5/15/2015) no check engine line what so ever. sounded great and then it time for the exhaust to be fab because it was already too late for any shop.
the exhaust and cat system is from a 94+ Acura integra. i also had the axle back in which i cut off just for the pipe over the LCA. i happened to have a box muffler in the backyard i was able to use for the car so i went to buy some 90 degree piping and started to mock it all up.
crx/integra/3' thermo rd when it was turbo'd
i dont want to sound like a dick but dont want to shed too much light on this front end, but i will tell you it takes ALOT of cutting and welding to get it to fit the wagon. its not done in this pix because i had to slap it on for the show. still needs filler work then paint.
got my regas back on. ditched the A048 and put on my matching falkens. lowered the car some more and off on our road trip.
i finished the car at 1:30am Saturday morning slept for 3 hours and headed on our 400miles trip. i still havent drove the motor around yet to know if it will take me down but i ran out of time and im just going to see where it takes me. we had 8 #WeekendPlayerz cars to represent so we had to have our wagon line ups. no pictures from the event yet because it was just yesterday. but i promise i will post some.
i must say, its new to me riding at this height, its also new to me with this single cam. it sure did its job taking me on my trip. did 927 miles total in 2 days since turning it on. i will start cleaning the engine and add some nice stuff to it. right now i wanna finish the hood and clay bar the car then buff. but im happy to say i enjoyed my trip and i am very pleased to have my car up and running again.
