I think it's because you have an open rear diff. If you try to turn both back wheels at the same time you won't be able to. Looks normal.

Spin the fronts, and see if the power gets transfered back. The rear should spin when you turn the fronts (all 4 off the ground, obviously).

When you turn the wheel on one side forward, does the other one turn backwards? I was desperately wishing you'd moved the camera just one 1/2" further to the left at the end of the video when you were under the car to see if the driver's side inner CV joint was turning. It was agonizing to see the video end without a glimpse.

If the other wheel turns the opposite direction, that is 100% perfectly normal. That is a normally functioning open OEM diff. If not, all bets are off.

    Translation for you spocomptonites:

    Whale - well
    oil - I'll
    beef - be
    hooked - fucked

Now say it fast with an easterner accent, and kind of slurr the words together.

I do not know about directly interchangeable parts. But i did read a post earlier about a few guys modifying FWD LSD's to fit into the rear diff housing. I'm sorry, I would post a link but I've been browsing on here for like 4 hours straight and I have NO IDEA where I saw that. It had to be on the first or second page of Engine and Drivetrain though.
  • have you checked to see if your diff is disengaged? the 4wd part can be disengaged. here is the link hope this helps you sir.... looks to be your issue but im somewhat new to this 4wd scene... http://www.civicwagon.com/showthread.php?3795-How-to-tow-a-RT-4WD&highlight=disengage+rt4wd
