i think that we should have a wago meet for the midwest

    That's a great idea !!

When and where? Should we converge on Fargo? Perhaps find a campground we can descend on?

Anyone else in the Midwest want in?

    Sorry, I think I can't make it... :) Topic hijackers.. :D

Skater Dude: haha, im from hungary! :D
and also have a civic wagon rt4wd, just been too lazy to post any pictures although ive been checking this site for more than year (became an addict back in the days when it was related to ezboard or whatever)

see the 'biggest wagon restoration ever' under the bodywork section. it might help with your welding project.

    welcome to the board.

be prepared to find more rust than you bargain for considering it's a northern wagon, they are usually tough bastards, but rusty.

    Welcome to the board!

Definitely have some nice cars that I'll drive for sure. Glad you finally found a wagon!

I finally found all the parts I need to restore my wagon after an accident that trashed my rear bumper/buper support 3 years ago...now just looking for some front seats to replace the worn-out POS that puts wire marks on my rear-end.

off topic: Any one here that can speak Mandarin fluently? It'd be nice to have a wagon buddy that speak the language. (I'm fluent in Mandarin and understand Taiwanese).

    Again, WELCOME TO THE BOARD!

Oh, I've seen some rust on honda's... :)
The 1985 CRX had a little rust, so I thought. And the further I took it apart, the more holes I discovered. I used 1.5 square meters of sheet metal to fix everything.... :D Crx 1988 same problem. Civic 1990 same problem. Shuttle: probably the same problem :D

szia! sosem hittem volna, hogy bárki is magyar lenne innen... kicsi a világ :)
'hi! id have never thought there was any hungarian here... how small the world is!'
and yes, this board's getting more and more international, yet we need some eskimos :D or is there any? :)

Goelette: ive seen some shuttles taken apart, and all of them had the same rust spots. rear wheel wells, sills both sides, the bottom of the rear doors. the biggest shock was the perfect hole (as big as my 2 palms) on the tailgate, under that rear panel holding the license plate.

well, I finally got around to do some work on the Shuttle. It has to be ready next week, to go to the yearly required checkup. But I dont think I'm going to make that deadline... :)

As expected, it was a lot more work than expected... :?:  :D

This is where the rear bumper is supposed to be attached on the side.... as you can see, there is nothing left to attach a bumper to....

    16.jpg

I took al the bad parts out, and I hope to finish that part next week.

Today I did the bottom-left of the car, and that also was more work than anticipated. but at least it's in now :) Now I just have to clean it up a bit, and apply some new paint, but that's not the most important part... :)

hmm, didn't notice that... Guess it's just the photo, everything works OK...

Today I had a photoshoot with some of my cars:

    left to right: CB8 1991, EE4 1988, ED6 1990, ED6 1990, ED9 1988. At the moment I also have a crx AF 1985 and a crx AS 1986. They are not in the pictures because they couldn't be moved.

    30.jpg

In a couple of weeks both ED6's and the crx AF will be gone, that's why I had to do the shoot now :)

BTW the shuttle is now up and running, I'm allowed to drive it again (In holland we have to go to a yearly checkup, and rust etc. is not allowed :) )
In the next couple of months I'm going to try to make it look nicer, but for now the most important thing is that it's driving again. :D

Finally, I've had some time to work on the Shuttle. And this time not because it was necessary, but just for fun!

I got a bullbar from a Suzuki Samurai. I want my Shuttle to have more of a 4x4-look, so what better way than to mount a bullbar :) So today I tried to fit it on the Shuttle. Near perfect! It's just too small, had to widen it 13cm on both sides. And it was a little to high, that wouldn't look nice. So this is what's it's going to look like....

    25.jpg

It's not finished yet though... more pics when it's finished :)

Next mods when bullbar is fitted:
    -spare wheel on back
    -side bars
-paint bottom of car black, also wheelarches (like a Beagle)
    -4x4 stickers
    -bigger wheels

And I need some advice: side bars and bull bar: Black or silver?

    grtz!
  • ragenasianragenasian Moderator
I thought about that same bar because before I bought the wagon my wife had a Suzuki Samurai and a Suzuki Vitara. I was for sure it would be a close fit. Cool stuff and i would go all black on that bar.

    Good morning!

This is getting to be a popular look. I painted the bottom half of my doors as well, but I used a type of rubber compound that resists gravel impats since I drive my Honda to the cottage and half of the 3-hour ride is on gravel roads.

I look forward to seeing your wagon with the bull bar, it will look like the Beagle wagon sold in Japan.

all i know is that i want one!

    btw, the two-tone looks great!
  • ragenasianragenasian Moderator
I have seen two for sale and they were the same green color. They were selling for about 3-4000 dollars. Both were 1994's also, and good luck finding one.
  • GoeletteGoelette Wagonist
couple of weeks ago there was a beagle for sale here, € 3500 (about $ 4,000 or 4,500 or so)
It was an 1998, with airconditioning, auto-transmission, electric windows and doors, electric sunroof, navigation, etc etc....

    But I didn't want an auto-trans :)
  • wagodizzlewagodizzle Council Member and EDM expert
