Apparently my Wagovan's the new favorite at my Honda dealer

So today I'm at my Honda dealer looking into my seatbelt changes as noted here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=12321&p=143359#p143359

And while they're ordering parts inside at the parts department about six of the techs walk over to my car sitting right outside of the service center and start basically mauling it looking inside and checking out the condition. I'm inside looking at the new Civics and CR-Z's (no dice, doesn't feel like a modern day CRX at all :( and it's price tag is waaayyyy too high) when I catch the action outside and run on out as I was worried they thought it was a trade in.

It turns out that all these guys are clamoring to find the owner as I walk on up and ask what the heck is going on. A few minutes of showing the interior off later and I'm running laps around the new car lot with 4 man-children in the car that are all acting like kids in a candy store after seeing a rare old-school Honda in non-destroyed shape.

It was honestly fun and I got to check out some of the cool older Hondas that these guys drive in the employee parking lot too. There was an '86 Civic Si Hatch, an '88 Accord LX-i Hatch, a '91 Civic Hatch and a second gen Prelude among the bunch that were all perfect as can be and had immaculate interiors.

All in all it made for a good feeling to know that these guys still cared about keeping the old ones alive and on the road.

i'd like to be the first to say that you post too many threads...i think you should just copy and paste this in your seatbelt thread. quit taking up bandwith.

That's a good story. Our Wgn. have become the modern classic thanks to the CRX & the popularity of the CR-V.

By the way you are NOT posting too much. Here's the score for postings between 1/27- 3/3/11:
MOD_MAN_EXTREME has about 12 threads, but 503Wagon had more than twice the postings(199 vs 96) for the same time frame.

    Be nice guys.

    Is it even a Wagovan?

    Edit- it's not a Wagovan!

Dunno how many times I have to tell people I really own an actual Wagovan.

It's got plain blue pleather seats
A single piece rear bench that folds all the way down
Bars on the cargo area windows
No cloth at all on my doors, just one single solid vinyl piece

Oh, and my VIN number checks out as an actual Wagovan.

As long as there's good discussion that can be had and I'm not covering the board with redundant topics I'd say I'm not spamming threads around. Also, I actually use the search feature and post in existing threads for topics that I need help with that are already in the forums instead of creating a multi-topic nightmare for the mods to merge around.
  • Every time I've pulled my wagons (past and present) into the dealer they always garner some attention. I had some keys made when I got my new one and each of the mechanics came over and took a look at it while I was getting keys cut. :)

Yeah, the local dealer just wants to sell me a new car and one of the salesmen told me I shouldnt punish my wife with my car. I told him she owns one and that she likes hers. That guy is a dick.
