Got a seat belt question

Are the 88 89 manual seat belts compatible with the 90 91 power seat belts? like i want to get rid of the auto ones and put just regular manual ones in, are the bolt holes in the same place?

  • Nope. You'll need to weld if I remember correctly, and there are already a couple topics on the idea.

welp i was looking at mine and where the bolt would go on the top lines up almost perfectly with the top bolt for the rear seat belts, and then on the bottom bolt there is like 2 or 3 to choose from, then where the belt hooks in i think bolts to the seat rail... idunno, if it gets to be too much of a hassel of cutting and welding ill probably have to fab up a bar that can bolt and mount somewhere behind the front seats then ill mount racing harnesses to them. i hate harnesses but itll keep me out of a seatbelt ticket and also the most important part is ofcourse safety.

btw the top bolt i was talking about where the top part of the seatbelt bolts to is the bolt that holds the track to the pillar. has a star bit but also lokks like a 17mm head
