Twin loop?

would anyone be able to give me any info on if the obx twin loop muffler will fit? i know i might have to modify it but is it even worth trying? i think it would look cool on the car but how hard will it be to make it happen? any info is greatly appreciated

  • They are really quite big so if your wagon is lowered I dont think it will fit.

Look at a couple of build threads, I saw one today with a twinloop in it

can u please show me which thread or a picture? my car isnt too low so im not too worried about ground clearance.
  • No, its on the first page though.

A say no as reading project threads will show what you can and cant do, a hint though it is a Shuttle, not a Wagovan or RT4WD

i looked through the whole first page and second page and didnt find anything. ive already looked for hours and hours before i posted something. i didnt find any info on this website or any other. so therefore i posted here. but thanks for helping me out
  • Took me about 1.5 milliseconds to find it. That "hint" was the clincher.

ohhhh u guys were talking about this one. I've seen it and studied it plenty of times. but obviously it fits because they cut the bumper the the muffler to make it fit. im talking about the stock location. I could easily do the same thing......but wheres the fun in that?? haha
  • Ohhhh so you dont want to use your imagination at aaaaallllllllll, well in that case here is a pic to show exactly how it will look on the other side:

If you want to know how the underside of your wagon will look if it was RHD (and for some reason has the engine and gearbox mirrored) I went ahead and did that at the same time ;)

You can mount it in the stock location, no problem. But the twinloop is about 10-15 cm taller than the stock muffler (cant remember the excact numbers), and the stock muffler is mounted pretty much as high from the ground as possible. If you are running stock height, you could probably run it without scraping everywhere, but it would look pretty stupid, and it would definately be the lowest point under the entire car. If you are lowered it wont work at all.

imagination only goes so far when trying to calculate numbers and practicality at the same time. if im the only one that cant do this then i tip my hat off to you guys. im just gonna have to go off trial and error now. ill get it to fit and you guys will be the first to see :D
