  • How the hell dis you break a spark plug?!?!?

And yeah if you just install the others and get it started you can limp to a shop pm 3 cylinders. You'll sound like a subajew though.
  • when was the last time the plugs were changed? i've seen that happen once before on gm's "100,000" mile plugs when anti-seize wasnt used.

but 503Wagon is right, you should be able to make it

Thanks all! It seems that previous owner never changed it. Tip is round shape. As you said, I just put other spark plug and started engine. It sounds scary thou. Anyway, is it esay job for mechanic to pull out half spark plug thread in head? I am stupid.. :(
  • The last time a spark plug broke on me @work, I had to remove the cylinder head. This was in a CRX Si. But there are tools that can be bought to remove certain plugs, but more than likely, if there isn't any hex part of the plug to turn, the head will have to come off. Unless you can drill (assuming you have a drill bit long and hard enough to drill through the plug) it through the center and use an extractor. But then you have to deal with metal shavings in your cylinder which could be vacuumed out I suppose. Good luck.
  • Remember to unplug the power to the injector for that plug as well!

You don't want a flood of fuel for when the plug next sparks in that cylinder.

Thanks!! I sprayed wd40 in spark plug hole and waited until next day. Finally, I pulled it out using easy out tool.

I replaced all spark plugs and it runs well. However, now I am worrying if a tiny piece of the ceramic of spark plug fell in head cylinder when I broke a spark plug. I threw it out without checking it. If some debris is in cylinder, is there any symptoms while driving?
    Thanks
