What are these wheels from?

I keep seeing these wheels everywhere and very much want a set, but don't know of an easy way to look them up.

  • Yup. 2nd gen Prelude. I wanna say 1986 Prelude Si.

  • Thanks man, that had been bugging me for a good while.

Just to ask as well, are these a straight swap for the Honda Steelies? I have no experience with suspensions, but I know that putting in new wheels that are larger or smaller without adjusting can completely muck it up.
  • They'll fit fine. The only issue might be tires size. Find a size that's close to the Wagon size, and you're golden.

There is a couple of sets at the junkhyards out here. I'd say at least 3 sets. I always wondered what these would look like on a wagon though. Not a lot of tire sizes though, being that they are 13s and all. Good luck with this, lets see some pics after you get them on your wagon.
  • Hmm, OK talk to me like I've never worked on a vehicle before (mainly as I've never worked on a vehicle before).

I thought that you simply bought tires sized for the wheels themselves and all that.

Tires come in all different sizes to fit the different rim sizes. How they measure the tire sizes I don't know. I usually run as wide and low profile as possible or just to my liking.
  • Gotcha, so I'm guessing the default Wagon tire size wouldn't fit on these?

Go to your wagon and look at the tires. On the side of the tires you'll see the name of the tire and all that good stuff. Right along the part that the tire and rims meet you should see a couple of numbers. It'll be something like 185/70/r14, just an example. If your rims are 14s than the rims you are asking about will fit the wagon but you cannot reuse the tires that are on your wagon now. If the last number is a 13 than you are golden and can use the tires you have now for the rims you are asking about. Good luck.
  • Mine are 170/70R-13 so I guess that means it's an easy swap.

That having been said I need new tires anyway as my old ones are bald as can be from the previous owner and aren't a matched pair which is making my OCD go haywire.
