  • EF=EF it will fit
  • But only in the front. At the back, the strut tops in the wagon are closer together by about 1".

Found this out the hard way. Got a tower strut bar and it doesn't work because it's too long. Nothing a little cutting, welding and respraying can't fix

Trick is to get an adjustable one

I run a modified DC/EG rear strut brace, just had to cut it down slightly and retap one end

Not a problem, I wound mine in as narrow as it could go but was still 20mm too wide, so I cut 10mm off the end with the normal thread (not the reverse thread) and tapped it deeper so the end link could wind in further without bottoming out.
  • thats a great idea. i just have not got around to picking up one to mess with it.

LOL, my DC is a direct bolt on and I just pulled it off my car. It just bolted right on, and dear god did it look sweet!
  • I cut and welded as well. It was a Password JDM rear bar, and I had to cut out about 1" to get it to fit.
  • Correct me if im wrong but i thought a strut bar didnt fit in the
front if u have the mpfi intake. if im wrong would the ef bar fit

^^My front strut bar fit perfect. This is with the B18 and the mpfi single cam.

I never had issues fitting either the front or rear braces.

  • is this dc strut bar made for an EF?
  • I've been looking for some photos of EF's with the Neuspeed front strut bar installed and came across these. I have a 91 Civic Wagon DX with the original D15 and original intake manifold. I've installed an Accord LXi brake master cylinder and was a little concerned about it clearing the bar, though from the photos I've found it looks like it may have enough space for the larger brake fluid reservoir. I'll post some photos if I manage to get the bar installed.

Sweet, i cant believe how tight a fit that is. Glad it works though, I just ordered new brake parts and was wondering if my neuspeed would be an issue.

That looks like it wont fit, sorry. Sweet looking bar though, if you have tophats you should dig up a Neuspeed or a Password JDM. They fit perfectly
