Radiator fan wiring question

I just recently picked up a wagon. and the radiator fan is run off ignition. I'm trying to figure out how to make it run like factory. where it turns on and off by temp. as far as I can see, the fan is plugged into the factory harness. car came pretty modified, so can the fan be controlled by the ecu? or which sensor can I tee from to do this? thanks for any help. it's been awhile since I had honda so I'm a little rusty.

water temp switch is in the block on the back, near the oil filter (just above and to the left I think). It's a 2 pin sensor (switch) that needs a 24mm to unscrew from the block. Drain the coolant first, or you'll drain it by accident taking out the sensor. This is a known failure point on these cars.

They probably bypassed the switch (joined the 2 wires together).

The circuit is pretty simple: when the temp gets past a set temperature threshold, the switch closes causing the fan relays to come on. I should have a wiring schematic of the circuit somewhere. I'll post it when I find it.

It will be a little more confusing if your car has A/C, but if the wiring is still there it shouldn't be too difficult.

awesome. thanks guys. I'm going to check back there.

Here's the circuit schematic (doesn't show details for condenser fan):

    This is a better diagram:
