Air ideal help

On the a/c unit how do you turn up the a/c ideal. When i turn it on it drops my Rpm To the point where it feels like my car is about to Stall.

    That's a good question. I've never had to mess with it on any of the four wagons I've had AC on, it just mysteriously corrects to 750RPMs. I thought the ECU was just compensating. Is your EACV connected/working otherwise? Any codes?

    Vacuum leaks? I think Im starting to sound like a broken record. :lol: I'll pick my brain and dig around for an answer.
  • The AC compressor has a simple single wire switch-to-ground output. This tells the ECU that the A/C is on, and it uses the IACV and ignition timing to increase idle RPMs and prevent stalling.

    Yeah, i would say clean out your IACV, I was thinking about it and that seems fairly easy to check and couldnt hurt.

  • Uh... I was suggesting you make sure the single wire is connected on your compressor. It has a pressure pin and comes off pretty easily.
