My 1st wagon

My first wagon. Ive always seen these thing in pictures never in person. i went on craigslist to llok for a ef 4 door and i ran across a 1989 rt4wd ee4 honda civic wagon. the weird thing is the title for the post on craislist was 1986 civic wagon and its clearly a 89.

anyway the car didnt come witht the driveshaft. i said fuck it and got it anyway.
(anyone selling a driveshaft lmk)

my plans for the wagon are alot.
i have many questions on what i can do to this thing and what would be best pocket wise.
i really wanna b20 vtec 4wd swap it which we all no is not possible so im gonna y8 or z6 turbo it.
i would like to do looks before motor since im not a rich.
flat black with flushed out bbs. i want my back tires to have some camber in it without the tires getting worn down.
i plan on putting DA interior and putting auto seat belt for the front and auto windows.
paint door panels
redo headliner with a buch of little wagon photos or some other cool pattern.
Roofrack is a must considering i do ride BMX.


but right now the car needs work to even drive.

i will have many questions.
WHAT I HAVE LEARNED ALREADY.
-rt4wd auto; fwd auto and maunal all have the same body tranny mount
-rt4wd body trans mount is located in a different spot making fabrication a must when wanting to switch a RT4wd auto to a RT4wd 6 speed.


would like to learn more about suspension.

    b20 vtec isnt impossible just a PITA kinda.... glad u finally introduced yourself. did i hear u right u want to ADD auto belts...... i never knew why people bitched till i got my ex and i hit my head the first time..... then i understood why they sucked.... anyways welcome to the site till funds become available keep it simple.

    I ALSO NEED A PASSENGER AXLE. anyone got one?? someone told me the axle from an ef are different for a wagon

    Welcome. The left side axle is definitely RT4WD specific, as the RT uses a half-shaft.

    ?? the can use the half shaft out of my RT axle and just put it together with a regualr crx axle?

    Yes, left is driver side.

    Wagon and "EF" axles interchange, in 2WD. 4WD axles are different.
