I think you're wrong on your parts. Your explanation was hard to read as well.

Maybe with a fair amont of cutting and welding, Charb though is generally totally up on his wagon knowledge.

If every person on this site, went to the wagon of the month archive, and looked at every thread, for every nominee, they would have a TON of knowledge at their disposal. Ya, you wont read them all in one night. But you don't learn everything about cars overnight. It's a life long experience. I know a lot, but not much really. People like bam-bam and Jaker know every inch (or centimeter? lol) of these cars. And people like Billboard, Revmaynard, and wagodizzle have done shit (like CRX seats, and suspension swaps) that people ask questions about every single day. People just want to step on and have their questions answered. But do you really want to trust some random ass person, posting on a forum to tell you everything? Just like the differences dj alo and I have above. Clearly someone has to be wrong. Maybe it's me?

I'm betting a lot of the pics of CRX seats come from Billboard's car. So his thread would be a good place to start looking for installation information.

I love seeing other wagons modded, even if it's not to my taste. Gather information from 'across the board' (forum pun lol), and make your own decision.

My resolve was to swap out pans.

    ^This

After monkeying around for almost a month trying to make different rails fit, I have found the pan swap to be about the only easy solution. Especially to make them work with auto belts.
The CRX seat backs bolt directly to the Wagon pans.

  • Looks awesome with those rex seats!!!!
  • Got some 88 or 89 Si hatch seats and I'm gonna try to install them into my 88 wago tomorrow. Will update with my findings
  • Installed the seats.

Simple rail swap. Take the rails off the wagon seats and bolt them to the civic si seats.

Pans are different and seat backs are different so the pan swap will not work in this case.
