Squeaky speedometer cable?

I tried to search for this problem but was not able to find a write up on it. I have a squeaky speedometer cable and looking for any advice on how to fix. I am thinking that I will have to pull the gage cluster or maybe go at it from the engine bay and fish the cable out to lube. Any help would be great. Thanks…

    You can pull it out from the tranny end and lube it. I have found anti-sieze to work well.

    I used silicon grease.

    Hey thanks for the reply. The squeaking is driving me crazy! I found that turning up the radio fixes it. :)
