car wouldn't turn off today

so today my car wouldn't turn off and i had to stall it then pull the negative cable because the dash & clock were still on . stereo turned off though. wtf.

    Was it still running like normal or was it dieseling? If it was dieseling a little bit of water in the intake manifold should help clean up the carbon deposits that could be causing it.

    I think your ignition system is buggered, maybe even the key barrel. Triple check all earths both in the engine bay and under the dash.

    well for the longest time it wouldn't turn off until i took it out of gear. today it only stayed running once, and by the time i got out of the store it had turned itself off.

    it is not dieseling, i drove it for awhile with no key in it.
