HELP!!!! A/C

I just got my compressor installed due to old one being broke....recharged with r134 and it blows cool but seem to not have enough power when i have it on 4 high...just spent 380 for alittle bit of cool air..any help...mech. wants more money and i don't have anymore to invest at the moment..i would think on 4 it would cool my wagon off completely but it doesn't seem to be...drove from new mexico to norcross georgia so i have a long way back.....

    Is your fan working on high, making a lot of noise but not blowing well out the vents? Sounds like a dirty evaporator. On our cars, there's no cabin air filter-just the grate on the wiper cowl trim. Over time, leaves and dust and debris accumulate in the evaporator coil fins, just like a dirty radiator. The one I'm working on currently even had a desiccated mouse in there.

    It's not terribly hard to fix, but you need to discharge the system to remove the "AC box".

    Why didn't you say you were in Norcross?? We could've met up...You know Atlanta is the wagon capital of the US, right? :P
