How to shave the door keyholes.

Now Im not going to tell you how to remove the door panel and all that. If your not that familiar with your car, you shouldnt be screwing with a project like this in the first place. Please keep in mind, this is how I did it. It may not be 100% the right way, but it gets the job done. If you have a better way, please speak up and let me know. I aint to proud to change the writeup

Once your inside the door youll have to remove this clip. Its the rod on the far right and instead of trying to take the white clip off, theres a little c-clip holding on the white plastic on. Slide that off and you can save this brittle little pos in case you want to put the original handle back on. If you dont care, just bust it off. Its faster that way.

Now the rod to the left (above) is the rod that actually moves the striker so the door will open. Its held on by these little white plastic clips (below). Crappy pic I know, but I think the easiest way is to actually pry the rod out of this clip rather than trying to get the clip and the rod out together.

Here is a pic of the back of both handles. Sedan/wagon rear door handle on top and wagon front door handle on the bottom. Notice the rod on the rear handle that goes across the top. That needs to be removed by the same nify clip from above.

Hers a pic with how it should look when your ready to reinstall the new handle. Tuck the rod back inside the door and put the bolts back in the handle so its secure. Be carefull not to spin the little deal on the end, or it might unadjust it. Then put the rod/clip back in the handle.

And heres the end result.

*Im going to redo a lot of this cause the page erased the majority of the writeup during a preview for some reason...something expired?!? and Im pissed, lol.

great write up
The writeup is still missing a bit, but Ill get it in there hoepfully today. Yesterday was actually busy at work...rare, lol.
Very slick idea, too. It almost makes me want to add electric locks and windows.
Judebert, ya, this concept has been around for a long time. Its pretty easy in the older Accords and Civics, but the Integras are a little different, just enough to make it a pain. No idea if this is possible with newer cars or not.
Bwahahahaha! I hope you don't mind if I use that in conversation, Judebert!
I want to do this too, I already have the aftermarket power locks (which I wish were oem, instead). Should make thieves want to go to the next car, I hope.
